Diluc was awoke by someone shaking his shoulders, Albedo stood above him, their hair looked disheveled. Diluc immediately sat up straight, blinking hard and yawning.

"Did something happen?" He turned to them, and they shook their head.

"No, everything is fine. I just came to tell you something I found...odd." They explained, and Diluc nodded.

"Which is?"

"I've been up all night, and I was able to identify what the liquid was composed of," they started, "and it turns out, it's only a compound of shimmering nectar and a couple other things." They informed him,  and Diluc looked confused.

"Okay..is that something you can reverse?" He asked, only wishing to know whether or not Kaeya would turn out okay.

"Well, that's the thing.." they trailed off, looking lost in thought for a moment before suddenly piping up again, "It's quite odd, actually. Shimmering nectar is composed of pure elemental energy, and therefore it shouldn't be harmful to any normal person. Even with added ingredients making it stronger, at most it would only result in one's vision acting up." They finished, leaving Diluc more confused than before.

"Kaeya has been feeling sick lately, and certainly displaying symptoms of being poisoned, but his vision hasn't acted up once." Diluc concluded.

"This is..truly fascinating." Albedo hummed, "Is there perhaps any reason you know of that his body may react differently to it?" They titled their head.

Memories of the Mage's words flashed through his head at the question, Khaenri'ah.

"Yes," he stated finally, "but it's not my place to share what, I'll have a talk with him about it and let him decide whether or not he's comfortable telling you. In the meantime, can you still create something to reverse it?"

Albedo hummed, "I can, but it's a shame I can't look more into it for now.." they sighed, "I understand, though. I'll inform you when I know what I need, though it'll take me a couple days to gather the materials."

Diluc nodded, waiting for them to leave before running a hand through his knotted hair, he was not looking forward to explaining this to Kaeya. Regardless, he stood up, walking across the hall before swinging the door to his former brother's room open

"What?" Kaeya asked, sounding speechless for a moment before fear flashed onto his face, "Shit! Diluc, why didn't you tell me?! If they know I'm from Khaenri'ah they could fucking blackmail me! Or worse! They could tell all of Mondstadt!" His voice was shaky, it was clear Diluc hadn't broke the news in the right way.

"I know, I know, I'm sorry. I just wanted to make sure we knew for sure what was affecting you actually was poison before freaking you out, and Albedo confirmed it this morning." He explained, and Kaeya still didn't seem happy with him, but was thankful for the explanation.

He sighed, "Okay..does that mean they have a cure?"

"No, not quite." Kaeya looked away, but Diluc continued, "They're going to make one, though. I need you to...tell me something." He took a deep breath.

"What?" Kaeya looked suspicious.

"Is there anything in specific that's...different, in people from Khaenri'ah, that would make you react badly to celestial energy?" The mention of his origins still felt bitter on Diluc's tongue.

"Why...do you ask?" Kaeya tried to keep a stern expression, but he could see the fear in his eyes.

"Because Albedo told me the poison was composed of mainly shimmering nectar, a substance of pure elemental energy, but they told me that shouldn't effect someone normal as negatively as it's done to you." He explained, and he could see Kaeya tense up.
