Slight Date

Inosuke's POV
I woke up at 2am and I can't sleep now. I started thinking on what is gonna happen today. I still have to thank Tanjiro for setting Monitsu straight so Im gonna take him out for coffee. For now I'm just gonna scroll through Instagram.

(5 hours later at 7am)

'Sounds like he's up' I got up out of bed, put my clothes on, and walked out of my room. I see Genya sitting on the couch, Monitsu listening to music while drawing, and Tanjiro sitting on his phone at the table. Putting my hands in my pocket, I walked up to him. He looked up at me, 'shit, why is my face hot?' "Hey, wanna go get some coffee with me at Starbucks? My treat." I said in the most not caring voice I could muster but really, I felt a little bit giddy inside and I don't know why. "Are you sure? I can pay for mysel-" "No no, I insist!" "Ok! Thanks Inosuke!" He said with a warm smile. 'wow' is all I could think. I asked the other two if they wanted to come as well but they declined. I was kinda happy they did.

"How are we gonna get there?" He asked. I grabbed my keys out of my pocket and shook them "my car, duh." He looked surprised. Did he think I wasn't capable of driving? "Oh ok, I didn't think you could drive" knew it. "My mom taught me when I was 13. She said it's better to learn early so that I could become a pro when I was older and when I actually was old enough to drive." I said while opening the car door and stepping in. He sat down and started "I was to afraid to drive" he said in a joking tone to which I chuckled at.

Tanjiro's POV
He chuckled and I felt shivers go down my spine. It was so low, I could fell my cheeks get a little hot. "Well your mom was right" I started "you seem to be a pretty good driver from what I'm seeing." I said as he took a right. "Your mother is probably proud, yeah?"

He adjusted his rearview mirror. "Well I wouldn't know" I raised my eyebrow in confusion and looked at him. He looked kinda sad. "My mom got really sick and died when I was 15" he said "Oh, I'm so sorry Inosuke. I didn't know" I said looking down at my lap "It's fine" he said. "Well, I'm sure she is very proud of you right now" I said looking up and giving him a comforting smile. "Pftttt, I doubt it" he said trying not to giggle. "What do you mean? Your great at drivin-" "not with that red light I just ran" he said smirking. I look back and see a police man with his sirens going off, following us. "INOSUKE!" He laughed and just went quicker. "INOSUKE WTF?! PULL OVER!" He sped up.

15 minutes flew by with me just screaming my head off and he finally slowed to a stop in front of the Starbucks. I look around to see that he lost the police man. He got out and went around to the back of his car and took a sticker off his license plate. It was a fake license plate covering the real one. "INOSUKE! THATS AGAINST THE L-" he covered my mouth with his hand and shushed me "Shhhhhh! You'll get me caught!" He said with a handsome cheeky smirk. With that I licked his had to which he retracted quickly "EWW TANJIRO!" I couldn't stop laughing.

Finally we went inside and ordered, he pulled out his wallet and payed and we sat down. "Hey, thanks for taking me out" I said smiling "yeah no problem! Thank you for talking some sense into Monitsu!" He said with a beautiful smile. "It's Zenitsu and ofcourse!" We just talked and joked around untill we noticed it was around 1ish. "Holy shit, we were here for 6 hours?!" I said in disbelief "Oh shit! We were! I'm surprised they didn't kick us out!' he said looking at his phone and getting ready to leave and as did I. I went up and tipped the cashier while Inosuke was taking our stuff and starting up the car.

"Thanks for putting up with us. We really lost track of time!" I said giving her the tip to which she just slid it back. "It's no problem! Me and my co-worker Obi (short for Obaini) really enjoyed the love show!" She said, wiggling her eyebrows in a ways to tease me. I could feel my face really start to heat up. I was about to say something before Inosuke called out "Come on Tanjiro! Genya's gonna kick my ass! Damn worry wart" the last bit he mutter to himself but I could still hear it. "Oop, your boyfriend is calling" she said as I walked out, my face probably a tomato.

We finally made it to the dorm and I noticed Nezuko was there. "Hey Nezuko! What are you doing here?" I said "She came over to see you and when I told her you weren't here she was sad so I decided to invite her to our game night!" Genya said with a smile (aww cinnamon roll 🥺). "Ok cool!" Inosuke said. "Well, how about I start dinner and then after that we play!" Genya said standing up and getting his apron on. "YEAH FOOD!" Inosuke yelled. Me, Nezuko, and Zenitsu agreed and we sat down at the table talking and waiting for dinner.
