"Let's go." Scott said as he stood up while Lizzie and Joel both gave him a questioning look. "Already?" Joel muttered. "We've just set up our camp."

"Yes. And now we have to go, do you want the other tributes to find us?" Scott acted very indifferent since Joel had been here, he still seemed to blame him for almost killing him, something Lizzie somewhat could understand.

Lizzie sighed, "Can you both please be a little nicer to each other?"

"I think we have more important things to worry about." Scott snapped as he started packing his 'belongings.'

———

"My legs hurt!" Joel had been whining for almost the whole trip now, "Can you please just get lost?" Scott muttered more to himself then Joel.

"But they really hurt!" It didn't look like Joel was planning to stop complaining any time soon.

"Fine, we can stay here for now." Scott snapped, "But I promise you, one more complaint and I will cut off your tongue." He said before walking off into the forest.

"I'm going hunting." He sighed as he disappeared between the trees. Lizzie raised an eyebrow at the sight of his bow and arrows he had left behind.

"Stupid cyan idiot." Joel muttered under his breath, "My poor legs."

Lizzie sighed but stayed silent.

Geez, these 2 really can't stand each other huh?

"Im going to search for some water." She said as she stood up, "I'll go with you." Joel immediately jumped on his feet.

Lizzie raised an eyebrow, "I thought your legs hurt? You can stay in the camp and protect our stuff!" She grinned.

"I'm not a child anymore." Joel muttered before sitting down again.

Well...I can argue with that.

She thought as she walked off in search for a river or a lake.

———

Lizzie sighed as she walked back to the camp, she hadn't been able to find any water.

She almost reached the camp when the arena suddenly turned pitch black, she wasn't able to see a thing.

Goddammit a arena event...

"Joel?! Scott?! Where are you?!" She shouted as she slowly walked forward, hands stretched in front of her to make sure she didn't walk into a tree.

"Lizzie?!" She heard Scott shouting, "I'm over here!" She slowly started to walk towards the sound coming from the cyan haired boy.

Suddenly she felt a hand grabbing her shoulder and she screamed out of fear.
"Relax! It's me!" Scott whispered.

"Goddammit Scott!" Lizzie angrily whispered back at him.

"Joel?!" she started shouting, "Joel where are you?!"

"Lizzie?! Scott?!" She heard Joel shouting back somewhere in the distance.

"We're here!" This time it was Scott who was shouting. "Follow the sound!"

"Who turned out the fucking light?!" Joel sounded a lot closer this time, "I'll make sure to kill hi-" His last words faded into a muffling sound.

"Joel? Joel!" Lizzie started to panic when he didn't react, "Joel this isn't funny-" a canon shot made her quickly cover up her ears. "JOEL!!" She had started screaming, "NO NO NO!"

"Lizzie, he is dead." Scott muttered as he grabbed her shoulder again.

"NO!" She screamed as she shook his hand off her shoulder and started walking forward. "JOEL?!"

Another canon was fired somewhere in the distance but Lizzie couldn't care less, as she kept screaming and screaming. The lights suddenly flickered on, only a few meters from them lied the lifeless body of Joel, his eyes where stil open and a small knife went right trough his throat.

"NO! JOEL! NO NO NO!" As Lizzie ran towards him the tears started flowing down her cheeks, "JOEL PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME! PLEASE Please please..."

"Lizzie, it's too late." Scott whispered.

Lizzie didn't answer and continued sobbing as Scott slowly dragged her away from Joel's lifeless body.

———

They had been walking for a while, both lost in their own thoughts.

Who killed him, I must know. I will get revenge, or I will die trying it.
