Lisa's POV:
Where am I. White walls, cold sheets and so many people talking, I move to sit up as someone walks through the door. 'You're awake' I look up and see Shane smiling
Lisa: 'what happened' I wipe my eyes
Shane: 'do you not remember' Shane sits in the chair next to the bed
Lisa: 'no I still feel a bit drowsy'
Shane: 'well you collapsed as we were leaving the business office'
Lisa: 'Ok have they said what's wrong with me' Shane nodded his head 'No'. Just as he says that a nurse walks in and picks up the board at the end of my bed
Nurse: 'I can see you're finally awake how are you feeling'
Lisa: 'I'm feeling ok, just a little sleepy.' And I wipe my eyes once again
Nurse: 'Ok Lisa go to sleep for a bit and I'll come back when you've had some sleep Ok' I reply with 'Ok' and she leaves, I glance over at Shane
Shane: 'Yes get some sleep, I'm going to go get a drink but after that I won't leave your side for anything' he kisses me on the forehead and I drift off as he holds my hand.
Shane's POV:
I look through my phone for half an hour until I notice Lisa slowly let go of my hand and notice she's fallen asleep. I kiss her forehead and then go get a drink from the cafeteria and phone my mom.
Shane: 'hey mom, I just wanted to say thanks for looking after corny at such short notice and that everything fine'
Teresa: 'Ok, I'm glad to hear everything's good, when you're ready come pick her up, but I have to warn you she's having a lot of fun over here' I laugh and she does too
Shane: 'ha-ha, ok, I'll see you soon love you'
Teresa: 'love you too son bye' I end the call and head back to Lisa's room with a coffee to keep me awake. I sit down, placing the coffee on the side table and holding Lisa's hand after a couple hours of just doing nothing and looking at Lisa I notice her slowly wake up
Shane: 'hello there' I move the hair out of her face and smile
Lisa: 'hey' she squeezes my hand as she sits up
Shane: 'are you feeling more awake now'
Lisa: 'Yes, I am' I update her with what I did while she was asleep, which was not eventful and I call the nurse.
Nurse: 'hello, well, I guess you want to know if you're ok'
'Yes please' Lisa replies with a smile on her face
Nurse: 'well, everything's ok, no major damages just a couple bruises that will go in time and we think it was just because of exhaustion you collapsed'
Lisa: 'thank you so much' Lisa looks over and smiles
Nurse: 'well you should be able to leave in the next couple hours if you want' the nurse walks towards the door, then turns around 'oh and we checked the baby and everything's fine in there so no need to worry' we both say thank you then look at each other and back at the nurse 'wait what' Lisa says in shock
Nurse: 'oh you two don't know well, yes, Lisa you're pregnant, congratulations you just need some rest and you'll both be fine'
Shane: 'thank you so much' the nurse leaves I move my hand behind Lisa's head and we kiss passionately. We move away and rest our heads on each others 'we're going to be parents, we both laugh as tears roll down our cheeks I get up on the bed and we just hug, which felt like forever and I never wanted to leave this position 'I'm not letting this happen again Lisa'
Lisa: 'what?' she snuggles into my chest
Shane: 'this is our last mission I can't let anything like this happen again when you're feeling better we're going to tell the general we're starting our own business together' she looks up at me
Lisa: 'Ok' I just smile
Shane: 'I love you so much'
Lisa: 'I love you too' she moves and gives me a kiss and we fall asleep.
