Nightpaw stood shocked, staring at her dead friend's body.

Who would've done this? And why? Rosepaw never hurt anyone!

"Hey!" Yells a Nightclan warrior. "There is a black and white tuft of fur on Rosepaw's neck! It smells like Lightingclan."

The leaders along with the rest of the cats surround Rosepaw. "I bet it was Nightpaw who killed Rosepaw!" Exclaims Stormclaw, growling.

I force my fur to lie flat. "Why in the name of Starclan would I do that?!" I hiss.

"Oh, so now you believe in Starclan?" Stormclaw meows with a mrrow of laughter. "As if!"

"Stormclaw! That's enough!" Sunstar hisses.

The other clan cats snicker. "Lightingclan warriors are so disrespectful! And weird.. They are all murderers!" One cat whispers.

"Now. We know that the killer has black and white fur. And it's a possibility it's from Lightingclan. But, that doesn't mean the killer was Nightpaw!" Sunstar says.

Blazepaw pads over and sits next to me. "It wasn't you right?" He asks.

I whip my head around looking shocked, and a bit hurt that my own brother doesn't trust me.

"No! She was my friend. Why would I kill her?" I growl.

Blazepaw shrugs. "Maybe.. She got you mad or something?"

"I didn't kill her! Don't you trust me? Blazepaw you know me! I would never do that."

"Of course I trust you. It's just that.. The fur was black and white.."

"There are other black and white cats in Lightingclan!" I hiss back. "I can't believe my own brother thinks I'm the killer! I'm going to figure out this prophecy with or without you! Maybe you should get sick and disappear just like mom did!" I burst out loud.

Oh no..

The cats turn towards my direction and stare, open mouthed. Especially Stormclaw. "Nightpaw.." Stormclaw begins, looking like he is about to apologize for being such a mouse-brain.

But I look away. I burst through the trees running with the wind in my pelt. I don't stop running until I'm satisfied that I'm far away from the others. I find a small oak tree to climb and settle myself on the top branch, hidden from the dark night.

I'm leaving the clans. I can't deal with this anymore. Blazepaw can come if he can find me. But otherwise, I don't care anymore.

"Nightpaw?" A familiar voice calls through the shadows.

I know that's not the sound of Blazepaw. I feel my heart sink. I need to apologize to him..

"What do you want, Stormclaw. Are you here to yell at me some more?" I hiss.

"Nightpaw, I-"

"My name is Night! I don't belong here." I say, turning my head.

Stormclaw puts his tail-tip on my shoulder.

Why is he being so nice? So he can take advantage of me?!

"No, your name is Nightpaw, and you are my apprentice. You belong here. I shouldn't have accused you of killing Rosepaw. It wasn't you. Because if you looked at the pattern on the tuft of fur and the patterns on your pelt, they're both different. Meaning, another cat killed Rosepaw, and he or she is still on the loose."

"Why are you being so nice to me?" I meow, ignoring everything else he said.

He should've known in the first place that I wasn't the killer.

"Well, I'm actually a really nice cat.." He starts

"Ha! Really? Next thing you'll tell me is that badgers fly!" I say.

"I have a hard time with rouges now because one of them killed my father a few moons ago. I'm starting to think its the same cat who killed Rosepaw. But anyways, Nightpaw, I had no idea that your mom disappeared! I'm really sorry. Everything I ever said about you I'm sorry. Please, can you give me another chance? I'll be a better mentor too.." He says.

I look into his dark glistening blue eyes.

He really does want to start over doesn't he? It's funny how we are the same age..

"Fine, but only one more chance. But I'm leaving right now to fulfill this prophecy. There is no time to waste. Tonight is a full moon." I meow.

"Wait, we have to tell Sunstar." He says.

"We?"

"I'm coming too." He meows and runs off.

A few heartbeats later, he comes with a few other cats following him.

"Sunstar and the other leaders agree that we leave as soon as possible. These cats are coming: Me, you, Blazepaw, Goldheart, Shimmerpelt, and Darkflower."

"Sounds great!" I meow. "Approach the Silver Circle is the first part of the prophecy. I think we approach the moon."

"How do you approach the moon?" Goldheart asks.

"Maybe the prophecy means we need to follow the moon trail, like the sun trail! But we have to travel at night. Then we might find a cure!" Shimmerpelt meows.

"Alright. Let's go on our journey.."
