Rapunzel wanted to ask more questions, but neither side seemed to have anything else to say.
She felt powerless but couldn't do anything about it.

-Thank you Danielle-

Said the princess with little energy.

Eugene managed to perceive that Rapunzel had more questions than answers and was beginning to feel somewhat overwhelmed.

-Hey, how about we show what we found in Quirin's house? They're not really great things but...

-Thank you Eugene, and of course, empty the sack here.

Rapunzel perked up a bit more and pulled up a table.

Eugene was glad to see that his princess was more energetic and emptied everything that the sack contained.
Meanwhile, Danielle watched everything without completely removing the cushion from her face.

Finally things were in full view of everyone and made Danielle react.

There were some stuffed animals, a pillow, a book, and a small wooden box that was almost in splinters.

As soon as Danielle saw all of this she started to grab her things and hug them.
She guessed that whatever was near her when the floor of her room split open also fell into the well.

They all stared at her, but they didn't say anything, there really was nothing that could help them.

They also didn't want to ask Danielle to put them back on the table, she was already overwhelmed enough and it seemed that having some of her things there made her feel better.

At this point Rapunzel no longer knew what to do.

-So, that was all?-

-I'm afraid so dear-

-I see. I'm sorry guys, I thought this meeting would be much more beneficial but I don't think I can do anything else now.-

Rapunzel was left with no choice but to abruptly end their meeting. It was something that made her very ashamed since the little they spoke could have been said at the scene.
She was hopeful that the things Eugene and Quirin had brought might revive the case. She was sorry she had made Quirin go for nothing knowing he was too busy. Her thoughts intensified when she heard Varian murmur:

"After Dragging Me Here"

With a big angry expression and rolling eyes.

Plus it looked like Danielle was on the verge of an anxiety attack.

The princess only turned to see Eugene trying to get him to help her.

Eugene could see Raps' reaction and tried to interfere.

-Okay sunshine, I'll go with Quirin and Varian to tidy up the mess in their house, you stay here with the girl, maybe she feels more comfortable with you. Calm down, everything will be ok. -

The princess smiled at Eugene, stood up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

-Thank you Eugene-

Raps was grateful to Eugene, though she hated feeling like she couldn't believe him.

-Is there anything we can do, Your Highness?-

Quirin asked referring to himself and Varian as Varian tried to pull his arm towards the exit muttering under his breath

"We've done enough"

-No, for the moment sir, thank you. For now, try out of concern for your and Varian's well-being, we'll figure this out. I'm sorry I made you come here.-

-No problem highness, just let me know if you need anything-

With this Quirin bowed goodbye while still being pulled by Varian.
Eugene joined them after giving Rapunzel a kiss on the forehead and left the room.

Rapunzel was left alone with Danielle.
She sat up on her bed with a bang and ran her hands up her face to the nape of her neck around her neck as she let out a sigh.

Danielle looked at her still with her things tightly hugged from the armchair from which she didn't move.

-Princess-

Danielle's shy voice interrupted Raps's thoughts.

-When can I return home?

The question ended up sinking Rapunzel, what was she going to say?

Sigh* I-I don't know Danielle, I'm sorry, for now I'm trying to process all this, I'm sorry I can't do anything for you now, but I promise we'll do everything we can so you can come back soon.-

When Raps said this Danielle didn't say anything else. She tried to be empathetic but felt that it was going to be a long time before she could return to her world.
She was right.
