Varian had barely been able to sleep that night, to the point that it was only minutes.
His head was under the pillow to block out the light and his sheets were on the floor.
Everything was calm until he heard knocks on the front door of his house.
At first he tried to ignore them, but they became more and more insistent. He also did not get up, since he believed that his father would open it and he could continue sleeping, but when a considerable time had passed he had no other option but to get up. He was so tired that when he wanted to get up he ended up falling out of bed.
Varian clumsily led Rudigger downstairs so he wouldn't have an accident and realized his father wasn't home. He supposed that he must have left early to continue with his responsibilities and that explained that no one answered the door.
Finally, when he opened it, he found Rapunzel with a clearly forced smile and a nervous look.

-Rapunzel? What are you doing here?-

Varian asked while rubbing his eyes?

-Hi Varian! You look nice today! Did you do something different with your.. agh forget it I need your help please!-

Rapunzel and Danielle came out feeling much better and it seemed like everything was clearing up.
Raps saw that Rudigger and Max were having one of their usual fights and went over to them to interrupt the mess.
At that moment Varian steeled himself and took the opportunity to address the first direct words to Danielle. He touched her shoulder and spoke very seriously.

Danielle didn't know how to respond, so she just shyly thanked him and went to where Rapunzel was, who had already calmed things down and they both climbed up to Max while Varian watched them walk away on the road.
