2. A mysterious appearance!

Di and Ty tried getting up as fast as possible but they felt as their energy was drained. A monstrous creature appeared from within the sand. “What the?” they both thought while gazing speechlessly.  A snake-like digimon appeared before them, tossing the sand of its sticky skin. “We’re dead.” They both thought while the creature seemed to be getting bigger every second. “I can’t fight a digimon of this level with YukimiBotamon.” Ty said and gave Di a sign to start running until they find a place to hide in. The snake had an eye sight so they didn’t have an advantage. It went berserk and rushed fast behind them. As it was restlessly chasing them the same projection appeared on Ty’s digivice again. It showed the image of the snake.

“Sanidramon :

Is an Exalted Beast Digimon whose name is derived from the mythological Śaṇḍilya.It doesn't like to decide matches in an instant, and prefers to instead choke the life out of the opponent while tormenting them bit by bit. It usually lives deep beneath the ground, and subterranean maneuvers are its specialty.”

“Hey Ty, doesn’t this digimon look familiar to you?” Di said while Ty tried to look back for a moment. “Yeah. Isn’t it the same as those Devas from the tamers season?” he replied “If it is than should it even exist?” he questioned the situation “It might be an illusion.” He stated the  slightly logical option. “I don’t think this real life situation has anything to do with the anime. Then again, we’re facing the same digimon.” They both decided to stop discussing this and focus on saving themselves.  YukimiBotamon let go of Ty’s leg and fell down, getting sand into its eyes. Sanidramon took advantage of the moment and went underground. Ty looked back facing a life or death situation. His heartbeat was raising and he couldn’t just stand there seeing his partner become a lunch for another digimon. He felt an adrenaline rush and ran back as fast as possible. He jumped towards his partner and covered it with his body for protection. He then reached out to get his digivice and find a way to activate it and possibly evolve YukimiBotamon. “Darn it! How does this thing work?” he kept on pressing random buttons as nothing appeared on the small screen. At that time, Di saw a disturbing movement on the surface of the ground approaching Ty. “Ty! Run!!!!!” she shouted to try and distract Ty from what he was doing. Sanidramon popped out of the ground as Ty was saying farewell to the world but still holding on to some kind of hope. At that moment something appeared, but couldn’t be visible because of its quick movement. As it stopped moving the Sanidramon was shown to have been sliced into circular pieces. Drops of blood were spread all over Ty’s clothes. “Are you okay YukimiBo…”He asked his frightened partner who was still melting, not being able to recall its name. It nodded with tears in its eyes. A person stood before him, the sand particles were in the air, lifted by the repelling force when its body accelerated in the battle. Di rushed over to them, ignoring the person who saved them. “Are you guys okay!?” she asked noticing blood on Ty’s outfit and assuming he might’ve been hurt. “Yeah, thanks to you.” He said switching to compliment the other person present there. “There’s no need to thank me.” A masculine voice spoke. He was wearing a long black robe, which covered his whole body and dark sunglasses. “How did you get here? I don’t remember anyone else being around except for us.” He tried to get more information from the stranger of the same race. “This helps me teleport anywhere within the radius of 2 kilometers from myself.” He said getting out a digivice. Ty showed his digivice to him. “I have one too.” As they spoke Di wondered how he could wear something like that in a hot place like this. “I assume you aren’t aware of what’s going on.” He said not making an eye contact with either one of them but looking at another direction. “I will tell you what’s happening but first, let me get you somewhere more comfortable to talk in.” he said and activated multiple teleportation on his digivice. Their bodies were being transported the same way as how they got to the digiworld. Di and Ty were still slightly freaking out but the other guy expressed nothing. In a minute they appeared in a middle of what seemed to be a deserted town. “It seems like no one’s is here but people are only hiding because of the rumors spreading around.” The mysterious guy spoke. “What rumors?” Ty asked. “This is not the place to talk ‘bout that.” He replied entering a building that resembled one of those from old western America. The moment they entered, the lively spirit of the town has come back. “It’s not him!” someone shouted and many digimon appeared from corners of the room. Apparently they were all hiding. They approached the bartender who continued on cleaning the jars. “Can we rent a room for the day?” the guy in a robe asked. “Sure, that’ll cost ya 2000 bits” he said, smirking. “Alright.” He gave him the money without a second thought and left the digimon speechless. “I was joking..” he said “Keep it.” The guy replied and told Di and Ty to follow him. They went up the stairs and into an old casual bedroom with one small bed. “That bastard only gave us one bed!” he said and lied down. “First, call me B.” he spoke as Ty thought that he heard his voice before but couldn’t remember whose it was. “As you both have noticed you are in the Digital World. Humans don’t know much about it but it does exist. Though it didn’t exist since the beginning of time, as some would call it a sort of a parallel world, but it was created few years ago. I have been here for 10080 days. Meaning 29 years, a week in the human world.” He spoke as Di’s and Ty’s eyes opened wide. “What the ****?” they both said. “I know how it sounds....and isn’t it weird that I didn’t age? My body remained completely intact. I was told that more humans were going to come and be tamed with digimon, and finally y’all are appearing. Needless to say, there is a reason you are here, I don’t know what it is yet. Apparently, there are also dark digidestineds. Opponents we shouldn’t underestimate. I have not yet encountered one of them unfortunately. Well, that’s all I know about your current situation. Now let me explain how a digivice works to both of you.” He said grabbing his from his pocket. “It has 10 buttons, a screen, and a small slot at the bottom. I only know how to activate 5 buttons. By clicking the first one at the left top, it shows you the data of digimon you’ve encountered, sort of like a digidex. The one next to it allows you to teleport to places. The one below the first one shows you your partners abilities and whether it can evolve and to what level. The one next to that one you can use to track other digidestineds or spot a digimon in a radius of 5 km. The last one bellow all of those you can use to store digimemories and your digimon. To activate any one of those you have to click it as many times as its ordered. Example; You’d click the first one, one time etc.” he tried to explain it so that they’d memorize it quickly. “The slot at the bottom helps you insert cards you can find after winning in a battle or trading with digimon etc. It equips you in the battle and helps you use some abilities which your digimon normally wouldn’t learn. That’s basically it.” He said while getting up. “I see….”Di replied while Ty started randomly clicking the buttons again to confirm if it works the way B explained. “Where’s your partner?” Ty asked curiously. “Resting.” He said and showed them a projection of his digimon in its fresh form. “I stored it in my digivice, that way it’ll be fully renewed when I need it again.” He said, sounding as if he considered it a weapon. “I am off now; you two can stay here and rest for a night. You’ll need it.” He said and got away without giving them time to respond.
