19 Years Later"Are you ready, Scorpius?"
Scorpius Malfoy glanced up at his father and nodded eagerly. Together, Draco and Scorpius pushed a cart full of Scorpius' suitcases through the brick wall of Platform 9 3/4.
Greta Malfoy followed them shortly.
Lots of young wizards and witches were getting ready to get on the Hogwarts Express, with their parents wishing them the best of luck.
"I can't wait to see what house I'll be in!" Scorpius bounced. "What if I'm a Gryffindor like Mum, or what if I'm a Slytherin like you?"
"Either way, we'll both be proud of you," Greta encouraged. "Try to make as many friends as you can, and make sure to study."
Scorpius hugged Greta tightly. "I will, Mum. I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too," Greta promised.
"As will I," Draco added. He gave his son a goodbye hug too.
"You're awesome, Dad! I'm going to miss you too."
"Have fun!" Draco called after Scorpius set foot on the train.
Scorpius waved goodbye to his parents and left to find an empty compartment.
"They grow up so fast, don't they?" Greta sighed.
"Yeah." Draco had his arm wrapped around Greta's shoulder.
"Greta!"
Greta turned around and saw Hermione, Ron, Harry, and Ginny waving at her. Both Draco and Greta approached the four.
"How are all of you?" Greta greeted.
"We're doing just fine, thank you," Ron smiled.
"It's nice to see you again," Hermione added. "We've missed you so much."
"I've missed you all too," Greta said.
Draco and Harry caught glances.
"Potter." Draco greeted.
"Malfoy." Harry did the same. "Have you been treating Greta right?"
"Of course I have. She's my wife, after all."
"Good."
"You know, I never got to thank you for saving Draco during the war," Greta remembered. "Thank you so much, Harry. I really mean it."
"It was nothing." Harry smiled.
While Greta and Harry never discussed Harry's old feelings for her, they knew that it was for the best that they remained friends. They had their own lives to live with their spouses, and that was enough.
"We really ought to meet up sometime," Hermione suggested. "All six of us."
"I'd love to," Greta agreed.
"We'll, we'd better get going," Draco said. "It was nice to see you all again."
"Bye!" Hermione waved. "We'll see you both soon."
Time Skip
Greta was at her desk writing on some parchment, when Draco tapped her on the shoulder.
"Whatcha doing?" Draco wondered.
"I'm writing an autobiography for Scorpius to read," Greta explained.
"That's wonderful," Draco approved. He was holding an acoustic guitar. He had been learning guitar in his spare time and even wrote a few songs.
"What's that for?"
"I wrote you a song."
"Really? Can I hear it?"
"Of course, Love!"
Draco sat down on a nearby chair and began to play.
(Please play the song at the top of the chapter)
"Cause I live to get lost on lazy afternoons, with you.
And what I'd give at any cost, to turn a day, into a few,
Cause just one kiss is all I need.
Take my hand and let me lead,
Far away to an empty place.I live to see your face, smiling back at me, after kissing you.
I've got a trick right up my sleeve if I'm missing you.Cause all I need to do is close my eyes,
And you'll be right by my side.
All I need is you, you're in my mind, everything's gonna be alright,
Cause a thousand miles wouldn't keep me from seeing you.
I said a thousand moles wouldn't keep me from seeing you.
It wouldn't keep me from seeing you.Cause I live for the days that we can both kick back and relax.
If it was any other way, our world would stop dead in its tracks.
Because one kiss is all we need.
Take my hand and it will set us free,
Far away to cloud in the sky.I love that look in your eye when you're smiling back at me after kissing you.
I've got a trick right up my sleeve when I'm missing you.Cause all I need to do is close my eyes,
And you'll be right by my side.
All I need is you, you're in my mind, everything's gonna be alright,
Cause a thousand miles wouldn't keep me from seeing you.Smiling back at me after kissing you.
I've got a trick right up my sleeve when I'm missing you.
I said a thousand moles wouldn't keep me from seeing you.
It wouldn't keep me from seeing you.Cause all I need to do is close my eyes,
And you'll be right by my side.
All I need is you, you're in my mind, everything's gonna be alright.
All I need to do is close my eyes,
And you'll be right by my side.
All I need is you, you're in my mind, everything's gonna be alright,
Cause a thousand miles wouldn't keep me from seeing you.""That was beautiful, Draco," Greta gushed. "You really wrote that for me?"
Draco nodded, a faint blush on his pale cheeks. "I had thought of the lyrics while we were dating, but I never got the time to add music to it until now. I'm glad you like it."
"I love it, Draco," Greta corrected. "And I love you too."
She wrapped Draco into a hug.
"Aww, thank you, Love. I really appreciate this."
"I appreciate you too, Draco."
