Sunlight beamed into your eyes as you found yourself in a comfy bed. You were woken up by the sound of trumpet, and you had no clue where you were. Wobbly, you managed to stumble out of bed and climb a ladder that was in the room you were also in. It led out to a roof. You watched as a boy you had never seen before played a magnificent tune on his instrument. He looked a few years older than yourself, but that didn't bother you at all, besides he provided you with the comfort of a bed and sleep. He then stopped playing his trumpet and rested it on the ground, this caused a huge flock of white doves to fly above your head, startling you.

'Oh, hey! You're finally awake!'  He yelled, helping you up onto the roof. 'How are you feeling?'
You were a bit in shock to speak, but you let out a gentle smile. He suddenly put bird feed in your palm and invited the doves over. You giggled as doves landed on your arms, pecking at the birdfeed.

'They love it when they see someone other than usual old me all the time'  he smiled.
'Haha! Well, thank you for helping me, I have no memory of anything'  You laughed back.
'Oh right, you must be so confused. My name is Jimin'  he said, a warm smile plastered on his face.
'I'm Y/N'  you replied. 'Forgive me for asking but, where am I?'
'This is my house, I brought you here after you fell down from the sky!'  Jimin said.
'Fell from the sky..?'  You said, confused.
'Yeah, you just floated right down! It was so startling, but amazing at the same time, let me tell you what happened'

Jimin's Flashback/POV
'Do you have anymore spaghetti? I need some for the boss'  I asked.
'Sure thing, here you go Jimin'  The shopkeeper said, pouring some spaghetti into the metal jug I was holding.
'Thank you!'  I said, putting some coins on the counter.

As I said goodbye to everyone in the shop, I ran out the door. I was working late so I just wanted to get back and finish quick. After running through the crowds of people, I made my way onto the fields by my work. Suddenly, I saw a great white light beaming in the sky. Then, I saw a body with it!
'What the..'  I mumbled to myself, running toward the light.

I observed more closely and saw that it was a person, just floating in the sky. I wasn't just gonna let this person fall to the ground so I ran up underneath and caught them in my arms. It was a girl, she looked a few years younger than me, about early teenage years. I quickly rushed to my work with her in my arms still. She had a necklace on that had a gem connected to it which seemed to be the source of the tremendous light. When I reached the shaft, I placed her down on a small platform then rushed downstairs.
'Boss! Boss! You'll never guess what!'  I shouted.
'Hurry up, Jimin! What is it?'  the boss yelled, securing a bolt with a wrench on a pipe.
'This girl, this girl just!-'  I was interrupted by the screeching of a pipe.
'Oh for petes sake! Jimin, go fix up that pipe would 'ya!' He shouted, wiping sweat from his forehead.
I sighed. Placing the jug on the floor, I ran to the pipe and secured it.
'Boss, listen! A girl fell from the sky!'  I panted, running back and forth.
'What?!' He yelled.
I sighed and gave up, it was useless in the loud shaft.
After lots of shouting, pipe screeching and other stuff like that, the boss finally decided to call it a day. I never got to tell him about the girl I found which was slightly frustrating.
'Close up for me, Jimin. Goodnight, boy.' He said, walking out the shaft.
I watched as he left, then I quickly closed up and went to the girl. She was still asleep so I thought the safest option was to take her back to mine so she could get some rest.

Y/N's POV
'Oh my.. It must've been my necklace then. My grandmother always told me how powerful it was anyways..' you said, taking the cool stone in your hand.
'It saved you from falling so it must be extremely powerful' Jimin said, observing the gem for himself. 'Hmm, do you think it saves everybody from falling?'
'I don't know, and I wouldn't risk it either!' You replied. 'But we can try..?'
You took the necklace off and Jimin fastened it around his neck.
'Here I go!' He shouted.
He jumped off the roof onto a lower roof and all you heard was a crash and extremely loud thud.
'Jimin?!' You shouted, running over to the huge hole. 'Are you okay?!'
He let out a groan of pain whilst rubbing his head
'Fine, this head is made out of metal..!' He whimpered, still cracking a smile.

After helping Jimin out and putting the necklace back on, you both went inside.
'Come, let me show you something!' He said, ushering you to follow him.
He led you both into a room at the bottom of the house.
'Woah..' you said, staring at the huge airplane prototype, it had obviously been handmade.
You walked around the room, observing the creations inside. Suddenly, your eyes locked on a huge poster on the wall. A beautiful floating castle just in the sky, covered by a thick blanket of cloud.

'Laputa..' You mumbled.
'Isn't it amazing? Everybody just thinks it's a myth. My father took that picture, you know?' Jimin said.
You heard the word Laputa a lot growing up, from my parents and grandmother. You didn't know much about it, but you knew your family had a strong connection with it. Apparently, your crystal had something to do with it, well, at least your grandmother said.
