Chapter 25

"Woo Bin.. You can't be serious?! Are you out of your mind?!"

"Yes.. I am. I'm out of my mind because of her abilities. Because of my greed to consume her soul and possess her abilities."

"She could destroy us! She's too powerful for us. On her human form yes, she's weak and can't even do anything! Once her demon side is triggered its the end." Sojin was so furious towards Woo Bin that for the first time, she raised her voice at him. But Woo Bin didn't mind. Maybe she was right.

"I'm trying to test her abilities. We will send her on a quest to steal the sword of light. Give her deadlines and tell her to do it for Sehun. If she fails to return on time, Sehun will die in that glass block. Its as simple as that. we know she cares for him...let alone love him. She's an open book. We know her secrets before she can discover them herself."

The wolves, upon receiving a dream about Diana dying in Woo Bin's arms finally came to an agreement to forgive Kris and look for Tao. Kris was alone by the bank of the river, looking at his reflection and throwing pebbles. "This is all my fault."

*Growls*

Occasionally, Kris would pick up Tao's scent and run towards it. But the scent kept on coming from other directions, making him confused. Whenever he tried one of the routes, he'd come to a dead end. Frustrated, he would hunt deep into the woods and satisfy his hunger.

Lay found him by the water, and whispered something that perked his ears up. He was sure that he wanted to kneel down and praise the Lord for granting his wishes. They both walked back to the cave where their brothers await. Xiumin sat at the far end center of the table, as the eldest and the others sat according to their ages as well. Kris was nervous and excited at the same time. The feeling when you want to ask someone on a date they say.

"So Kris.. I'm sure Lay told you what this meeting is about. And welcome back to the clan. We would like to ask for a forgiveness for ignoring you all this time. Will you forgive us and give us a second chance.?" The others looked towards him, each one of them giving him facial expression that's saying "pretty please with a cherry on top."

Kris wanted to play around with them, as a little revenge. Since their telepathy powers were taken, they wouldn't know what he was thinking of. So he let out a big sigh and stoop up, the sound of the chair moving against the hard floor filled the silence. He left and before his right foot reached the floor towards another step into his room, Luhan stopped him. "Mianhae..." He whispered, the soft sob coming from him was barely audible but Kris knew that his brother meant it.

"I should be the one saying sorry. Not you hyung." Kris embraced Luhan and patted his brother to calm him down. Luhan may seem manly and fierce during battles, but when it comes to reconciling with his brothers, his soft side would show. The others walked towards them and they hugged each other although there were two spots missing.

Kai moved away and leaned to his chair since who wasn't that emotional. He started to speak up, "Enough of this. Can we just start to figure out Tao's whereabouts? We need him."

Everyone went back to their seats, and started to think. Lay replied Kai, "We've tried everything Kai.. I mean.. Kris, has done everything to track him down. We all know he's the bestest hunter among us." They all remained silent. Non of them had clues. So they decided to hunt somewhere else tomorrow. Tired of thinking, they all immedietly went to bed.

Another few months passed by but still no sign. They were begin to lose hope, thinking that Tao is gone. During their feast of a deer, they heard a howl. At first, they thought it was another lost wolf who would often cross paths with their territory. But as they all went out, they saw the person who was missing for months. And Kris was the happiest among them.
