10. Problem

'Donya Madani... she's a refugee.'

'OK I'm on it.'

'All right call me back if you get a hit. Thanks Torres,' Sam said, hanging up the phone and popping down on the seat in the jet once again, they were headed off and Zemo's wealth and connections were getting them there faster than if they were going rogue.

'You OK?' Bucky questioned

'I... yeah. Just thinking about all the shit Sharon had to go through,' Sam remarked 'then Nagel referring to the test subject... referring to him as if he wasn't a real person! It just makes me wonder how many people get steamrolled all for a hunk of metal.'

'All depends on who you ask, hunk of metal saves a lot of lives.' Bucky told him

'I get that,' sam said 'but maybe I made a mistake.'

'You did,' Bucky agreed.

'Maybe I shouldn't have put it in a museum maybe I should've destroyed it.' Sam told him

'That shield represents a lot of things to a lot of people including me,' Bucky told him. 'The world was upside down so before you destroy it I'm gonna take it for myself.' Bucky informed him defensively.

'Captain Bucky...' Carmen remarked.

'Captain Carmen sounds better.' Zemo told her with a sly grin that made her chuckle.

'They found Madani dead in regal city in the Baltic Sea.'

'I have a place we can go,' Zemo told them 'and for once I am happy to go there Olzinek we're changing course,' zemo told him as they turned the plane around.

Riga, Lativa

'I heard what became of Sokovia. I heard that Iron Man left before the rubble even cleared erase from the map... I don't suppose any of you bother to visit the memorial...' Zemo told them as they walked the streets. 'Of course not,' Zemo remarked 'why would you?' He let out a sigh as they arrived. 'We are here.'

'I'm going to go on a walk.' Bucky said stepping back.

'You good?' sam questioned

'Yeah see you in a bit,' they walked up the steps as Bucky picked up a little metal ball and another following its trail. He walked slowly hesitantly cautiously.

'You dropped some thing!' he said holding it out as he walked. He turned around not seeing anyone but he knew they were here. 'I was wondering when you were going to show up.'

'I'm here for Zemo.' Ayo said sternly. 'We removed your programming from you and this is how you repay us?' Carmen stood behind the wall listening intently. They were not taking Zemo. Not if she had anything to say about it.

'I'm grateful for you and grateful for everything but-' Bucky told Ayo as she stood fiercely before him.

'Did you hear what happened to King T'Chaka? At the UN? The men who chose us chose me to protect him.' Ayo sneered

'I understand.'

'If you understood anything of our loss and our shame-' she said circling him

'He's a means to an end.' Bucky assured her, Carmen grit her teeth as hand went to the blade as her hip, on instinct.

'Eight hours and then we come for him.' she held her hand out and he dropped the trackers in her palm. Heading Back to Sam, Carmen and Zemo, they had eight hours to get this done.

'Problem.' Carmen said pulling zemo back.

'Problem?"

'Wakandans want your head for killing their king.' Carmen told him.

'They are here?'

'Yes, they were talking to Bucky just now.' Carmen told him only just noticing he wore a bathrobe and nothing else her eyes wandered down his chest. Focus, she mentally slapped herself.

'I am assuming you have a plan?' Zemo asked his hands running along her hips.

'working on it.' She informed him. They heard the front door slam closed they stepped out of the bathroom to see bucky.

'The wakandans are here and they want ZEMO.' Bucky said as she stripped off his jacket. 'they gave us eight hours.' Bucky said entering the apartment bitterly annoyed.

'Were you followed?' Sam asked

'No.'

'How can you be so sure?' ZEMO questioned

'Because I know when I'm being followed.' Bucky said stubbornly and Carmen chuckled. He didn't know she was following him, Zemo glanced over at Carmen and it was like he read her mind and a smile crossed his lips.

'It was sweet of you to defend me at least.' Zemo told him.

'Would you shut it? No one is defending you.' Sam said

'I am.' Carmen said defensively.

'Do we really have to litigate what may or may not have happened?'

'There's nothing to litigate,' Sam remarked 'you shot the man.'

'Sam-' Bucky said

'What?'

'Karly bombed a depot.' Bucky said looking up from his phone.
