Sitting in Physics, the teacher was out doing something and we all were doing whatever we wanted to.

Rose had turned around in her seat and we started doing tic-tac-toe on the paper in front of me. I kept winning and it was frustrating Rose to where she would whine, turn back around then turn towards me again.

I won every time and she hated it.

When lunch came around, we stayed in the school cause I brought some leftovers. I was tired of spending money and Rose was getting tired of the food around this town.

We sat outside on the grass and enjoyed the cool breeze that came every few moments. It was nice and cool as the sun wasn't shining directly on us since it had moved behind a cloud.

The past few mornings have had a chillness in the air.

I was loving it.

"What are you doing after school?" Rose asks as she was picking at the grass and tossing it on me.

I look at her before dusting the grass off of my leg. "I'm working, remember?" I saw her nod as her focus was on the grass. "You work this weekend?"

"Yeah." She sighs. "I don't want to. I want to be a teenager and have a life.. not work."

I shook my head as I look around the school lot. We were sitting out in front where the parking lot was and there was a small hill that we were sitting on that over looked everything.

It was better than sitting inside where everyone was loud.

"How's Miss Dawson?" She asks.

Looking at her, she was pulling grass up before looking at me. "What do you mean?" I look around as someone was running towards the building.

"How's her class?"

"It's ok. She's basically teaching the students that don't know Spanish so I'm just sitting in the back." I shrug as I look around the parking lot.

Rose sighs before pulling more grass up and placing it on my leg. I dusted it off and gave her a look as she was scrunching up her nose and looking around.

"Do you like anyone in school?" She asks.

"No." I chuckle. "Do you?"

"There's this guy that has been flirting with me in one of my classes. He's cute."

I nod as I look around before feeling more grass being moved onto my leg.

"Will you stop?" I chuckle as I dusted it off and saw her look at me.

"You don't find any girl in this school hot? You've been single too long."

"There's not a problem wrong with that." I say as I lean back on my hands and look over at her. "I don't want to lose my focus in school over a girl."

She shook her head before rolling her eyes. "You're just too independent."

I smile at that before looking around and seeing Miss Dawson walk up towards the school. I glance over at Rose as she was still picking up grass, waiting for her to look up and see Miss Dawson.

When I look back, Miss Dawson had flipped her hair over and out of her face before she looked around and caught my eyes. I saw her smile at me before waving as I did the same before she walked into the building.

I hate to admit that she's catching my eye ever since a few days ago.

But I'm not saying that out loud or around Rose, cause she'll cause a scene.

It's not like I'm crushing on her, just admiring her for her personality and the vibe I'm getting from her.

After lunch was over, Rose and I went our separate ways and I headed towards Spanish class. I had my textbook against my chest as I was walking down the hall and turned that corner before seeing Miss Dawson standing outside her classroom.
