Monday morning was here and I was dreading every single minute of it.
My weekend was so great but it was too short. I was having so much fun just being lazy, watching Netflix and eating junk food.
Now I had to start back trying to keep my mind focusing at school then work in the afternoon.
Paisley was outside this morning, so I took her to school.
I asked about her weekend with her mom and she seemed as though she didn't want to talk about it. I was a little concerned cause she was staring out the window and not really talking.
When I asked her what happened, she said that her mom was dating that guy. I asked her about how she figured it out and she said they were holding hands in the car and cuddling up with each other when they were at the house.
I asked her if her mom paid any attention to her while she was with that guy.
"A little."
Paisley kept telling me how she doesn't want anyone taking her mom's attention away from her. I completely understood that and didn't know what else to say.
She got out at the middle school a little upset and it's been on my mind throughout the rest of the day.
Rose even asked about it and I told her.
"I don't think her mom would do that again.. right?'
"I don't know." I told her. "She put Paisley through hell for years and if someone is going to come into her moms life and take her attention away from her daughter again, then she doesn't deserve Paisley."
It was really messing with my head.
I tried not letting it get to me but it was hard.
As I was sitting in Spanish class, my mind was racing as I was furiously tapping my pencil on the desk. I knew it was making noises but I didn't care cause I was on override mode.
"Kai, can you stop making noises?"
I look up and met Miss Dawson's eyes before she looks away. I furrow my eyebrows once she did cause I swore she rolled her eyes at me.
What was her problem?
As class went on, Miss Dawson had everyone do an assignment. I was a little slow on it so I didn't get done with it as the bell rung when class was over.
"Make sure you turn those papers in tomorrow." Seh said as she sat at her desk but didn't look up.
I was watching her as I slung my backpack over my shoulder, grabbing my textbook and placing the assignment in the book.
Miss Dawson had looked up and met my eyes, but I didn't smile at her as I was heading towards the door.
"Kai, wait."
As I stop, I turn towards her as she looks at me then motions for me to walk to her desk. I walk to her desk and stood there, looking down at her.
"If I upset you today, I'm sorry. I wasn't in the best mood."
I shrug as it really didn't bother me, I was just ready to go to gym.
"Do you want to stay in here? I could use some company." She softly smiles.
Nodding, I heard her pick up the phone and call Mr. Greg. I sat down and leaned back before sighing, staring at the ceiling as my temper as died down.
"Do you want to talk?" Miss Dawson asks, and I look over at her as she was watching me. "You don't seem in the best mood either."
