"What about your stuff? We just left it at the gate. We could go back and I could carry them for you." Lucas offered as they left Uwu Cafe. The woman waved her assistant off, reassuring him that the boys who were hanging around the cubby had carried her stuff in Ramee's apartment.
The two exited the cafe, walking past customers who sat at the tables outside. April ignored the few people who were secretly taking pictures of her as they hid in between those who were sipping their drinks and chatting with friends.
"Are you sure? I can help you pack," she smiled softly at his attempt to hang out for longer. Lucas was one of the sweetest people she knew. Unfortunately, she had some things she needed to attend to. It was almost sunset, and she still hadn't met up with K yet.
"Instead, can you go to KOC and pick up a package from Kiki or whoever is around? I need you to drop those clothes off to Bleach as soon as possible." It was the day before all their interviews, and she wanted the boy to look his best. The woman was aware that the chubby boy's solo interview would be conducted simultaneously with one of their own but she still wanted it to be known that she (and Ramee) were capable of taking care of the teenage boy.
"You bought him a Kiki's suit?" Lucas asked, eyebrows raised. Everyone knew Kiki's custom designs were expensive.
"It's just a nice pair of jeans and a shirt. There's no need for a suit. Anyway, Lucas can you drop me off at the apartments before you pick Bleachy's clothes up? Thanks." She said, ignoring the lack of response as she sat in the passenger seat.
Lucas simply nodded at his boss's request and got in his pink car. The man smiled at her as she groaned, suddenly remembering how slow he drove.
In truth, Lucas didn't really need to drive at his usual slow pace. He was just scared of crashing into a rich Vinewood jerk.
The city they lived in had a lot of those. Mean men and women who's eyes gleamed at the notion of ruining someone's lives and taking everything they were worth. And sure, he was getting paid by some of the biggest jerks in the city to care for April but that was different.
He would ignore Hutch, Anto, and any other CG member. He could also ignore the fact that they were giving him a hefty amount of blood-soaked money to ensure the Siren was fed. So long as he could protect her from the dangers of the city, Lucas would ignore his morals telling him to throw that money back in their faces.
April was too blind to see how malevolent and vicious the gang members she hung around with were, but he wasn't. The man had already decided since the day he met her that he'd do anything to keep her untainted from the evil that is CG. Unfortunately, this was made harder by the fact that she decided to move in with the devil himself. Nonetheless, he would save her.

"Where are you?" Marty asked on the phone. He sounded almost giddy as he waited for her response. April eyed her phone warily. It didn't matter how sincere he sounded, he could be dangerous. The woman wasn't sure what caused such a change in Marty's manner of speaking to her, but she wasn't entirely convinced by it. He could have been planning something. If not him, then X. The deranged blond wasn't exactly known for patience, but she didn't want to underestimate him. Luckily for her, she wouldn't stick around to find out what he was capable of.
She squared her shoulders and took a deep breath. There were many reasons why she was doing this. The Siren had contemplated it for a while, but Karen and Ramee were right. It bothered her to admit that she was wrong and Ramee was right, but she needed to take a step back from her plans and reevaluate.
That meant that she needed to start with doing all the things that Ramee told her to do. The woman had already instructed the relevant people to help her deal with the Gulag gang. Her bags and clothes were also all placed in Ramee's apartment by some of the boys that were hanging around in the cubby. Now all she needed to do was dump Marty.
