Chapter Fourteen

Crystal

My pain filled screams penetrated through the night sky. Pain riddled through my body. It was excruciating as Brandon slowly pulled the dagger out of my stomach, agonisingly slow to prolong my agony. I was lying on the soft moist ground of the forest, sadly at the mercy of Brandon as he tortured me over and over. The silver chain was still wrapped around my neck, causing me great pain as the silver burnt my flesh, hissing and sizzling. More silver chains were also wrapped around parts of my body, two chains around both my wrists which were planted to the ground, my hands fisting to grab at the grass, wanting to make the pain go away. Another chain lay across my stomach, my shirt had been pulled up to reveal my skin for the silver to burn me. Another two chains were wrapped around my ankles, making it impossible to be able to run away even if I could get away from the devil that was Brandon. All of these chains weren't physically tying me down to the ground, only subduing me from escaping because of the pain. It was as though pain was anchor tying me down.

             I sobbed from the pain and coughed up blood as Brandon pulled the dagger out of me slowly. I gritted my teeth and hissed through them, a shriek coming from my throat as I tried desperately to stay strong, to not be beaten by the pain. However that was impossible. I couldn't get away from this pain. This was hell itself. Delivered by the Devil- Brandon.

            Brandon chuckled as he saw the pain in my face, smiling down at me cruelly with his bright smile and cunning dark brown eyes. "I've just talked to your maker." He told me matter of fact. "The good news for you is that she's fine. The bad news is that she's on her way to save you. And to give up her life to me." He laughed, standing up from his crouch to walk away, thankfully leaving me alone for a while. I breathed a sigh of relief, closing my eyes as I wanted to be overtaken by the dark, willing unconsciousness to take me over. A sense of peace over came as the dark tried to take me over. Before another slice of pain shot through my body.

            I shrieked in pain as Brandon suddenly grasped my neck, forcing the chain to cut and burn more of my already charred flesh. His face was so close to mine I could feel the icy coldness of his skin and his hot moist breath on my face as he sneered at me. "No going to sleep yet Angel. You need to be awake for when your maker arrives to save you." He laughed, his dark menacing chuckle making me whimper and try to turn my head away from him. But he grabbed my chin to make me look at him, staring into his dark deep brown eyes. Mine must have been pitiful as I stared up at him, begging him with my eyes to please have mercy.

            "Why..." I tried to say but my throat was aching, making my voice a little croaky pathetic whisper. I gulped trying to make my vocal chords work better. "Why are you... doing this?"

            "It's always the same questions with you innocent victims. Who are you? Why are you doing this? What do you want? Blah. Blah. Blah." He said bored, rolling his eyes. To my surprise he let me go, standing up to his full height. However, to my horror, he started to stalk around my body, walking around in a slow intimidating circle. "Do you realise how boring it gets to listen to all of your victims whine and beg for their lives? Having to hear the same thing over and over and over again. 'Please don't hurt me.' 'Please I have a family.' 'Please have mercy.' 'Why me?'" Brandon sighed loudly through his nose to emphasize his point. "You'll get used to it when you start killing, like a proper vampire should."
