Crystal

Another swift punch was delivered to my face, knocking me harshly to the hard floor of the forest below the cliffs. My body pounded with pain, pulsing endlessly. Groaning in annoyance from y weak state I managed to rise to my hands and knees only to be knocked down to the Earth again as a sharp kick was delivered to my stomach. I felt sick as I grasped my stomach, moaning on the floor as my attacker circled around me.

"Get up." She sneered, standing still in front of me, her hands on her knees as she leant over to study my weak form.

No. I didn't want to get up. I wanted this to end. What was the point in this again? Oh right. To train me. To teach me a lesson for becoming what I deserved most. A murderer. So I had to get up. I had to fight. I had to win. I had to prove myself.

Sighing I rolled onto my back and suddenly jumped up swiftly to my feet. I blurred in my impressive vampire speed, flinging my fist at my attackers face. But she blocked it. Her arm came up to block my arm and she went to punch me, but I thankfully blocked it. I tried again and again to land a blow to my opponent but she kept defending herself. She swung at me but I jumped back before I went to kick her. Surprisingly my leg hit her side, making her stagger back and grasp her side in pain. Using her weakened state to my advantage I went to swing my fist at her face but she grabbed my fist in her cold pale hand, squeezing down tightly with her amazing strength. I cried out in pain as I felt a bone snap. Crying out I kicked her side again making her release me from the shock. I went to land a blow out of anger but suddenly she was gone. She somersaulted through the air, flying over me to land on her feet behind me. Suddenly my spine lost its strength as she kicked my back, making me fall to the floor again.

I moaned in pain. I couldn't do this. Why did I even try?

            "Get up Crystal."

"What's the point! It's hopeless!" I sniggered as managed to lie on my back staring up at the starry night sky before into the green eyes of my maker as she loomed over me.

Amelie rolled her eyes at I glared at her evilly. "The point is to teach you how to fight. To prepare you for if the Leadership of the Night come to kill us." She said before walking away, cracking the bones in her hands and shaking them out, her hand hurting from her relentless punches to my face.

"Right. The damn Leadership." I mumbled but even though my voice had been quiet and raspy it didn't stop Amelie's intense ears to pick up my sarcastic comment.

"Yes Crystal the damn Leadership. So get up so we can carry on with our training. I need to teach you how to survive."

I shook my head as I stared up at the black sky hanging over the world. I found peace looking into the bright diamond like stars, feeling at peace in my dark depressing new world. I felt calm and relaxed even though my body was pulsing in pain. I knew I would heal in a while but the pain was still sadly too intense for me to want to get up and continue with m training.
