Updating chapter four now but sadly im going to do half updates because I want to keep you guys intereted in my story. Crystal

A cool sensation washed over me as I plummeted down into the dark freezing water below. I crashed on the surface of the water and then submerged deeper into it. I thrashed around desperately in the water, the fear of drowning suddenly hitting me. My eyes were squeezed tightly shut so I had no idea where to swim to. Biting my lip I tried hard to hold my breath and make sure none of the dirty water would flow into my mouth and down my burning throat. I was totally panicking. I wasn’t very good with water therefore you could understand my reaction. Thankfully though there was no hard rock floor at the bottom of the cliff. Instead there was my worst nightmare.

Realising panicking wasnt doing me a bit of good I tried to calm myself down by keeping still and trying to tread water to bring me to the surface. I wasn’t a strong swimmer so it didn’t work. Suddenly something grabbed my forearms. Trying to scream out I opened my mouth. This made me panic even more. A sea of cold dirty disgusting water poured down my throat. I couldn’t breathe! There was no oxygen! My lungs started to burn and…

‘Crystal.’ Amelie’s voice shouted in my head making my brain bang with a splitting headache. ‘It’s ok. You don’t need to breathe remember. You wont drown.’ A wave of embarrassment came over me as that fact came to my mind. She was right. Of course I didn’t need to breathe. I was a vampire. I relaxed and calmed down. Being hysterical was definitely not the best thing right now. ‘Good’ Amelies voice echoed inside my head again. ‘Now open your eyes’ The power that she held over me compelled me to obey. So I opened my eyes and they immediately stung as the water hit them. It was incredibly blurry but I could make out the distinct image of Amelie in front of me. It was her that was holding onto my arms. She looked up to the surface and dropped her arms to grab my wrists. Then she swam up me trailing along behind her.

Finally we broke the surface and I gasped even though my lungs wouldn’t take in any air. I coughed and gurgled on the water that was stuck in my throat and coming back up and out of my mouth. Amelie let go of my wrist and swam to the land to her left. Treading water I looked around. It was like we were in a massive crater with deep water at the bottom and cliffs surrounding the perimeter of it. I shivered from the icy coldness of the water, causing my body to erupt in goose bumps. Having enough of the water I swam to the edge. I could swim I just couldn’t swim very good and in too deep waters.

Clawing myself onto the grassy and muddy bank I collapsed beside Amelie, regaining our energy. All the drama just with Brandon, jumping off a cliff and panicking about drowning was just too much for a person to take. I closed my eyes for a while just trying to relax and imagine I was in a totally different place. But of course I couldn’t imagine it. This was just all too real. And I couldn’t believe it. I opened my eyes to stare up at the stars glittering in the dark clear night sky before looking to my left at Amelie. She looked dead. The hole in her chest was leaking blood, she obviously wasn’t breathing and she looked so pale a snow flake would bend in with her skin. “Amelie” I whispered, my voice croaky from the water. “Are you ok?”
