3rd Person POV:

A loud bang of the old rickety door echoed throughout the abandoned building. Soon after, heavy footsteps resonated; a woman in foreign garments appeared behind the group who's still busy tormenting the silver haired boy. The view of the teenagers' hurting the boy angered her, but when her eyes met the crying boy's gaze: it made her snap.

"Bold of you to take out your anger on him." The noblewoman mask was long gone, what took her place was her original form, a form she wanted to conceal while in the human world, but today is an exception.

"W-who are you?!" They all turned to face the intruder. Didn't they write in the letter that the noblewoman comes to the building alone? Why did she send someone else? And why is this woman in a costume? Halloween is still far from being celebrated.

"The Madam who you sent a letter to." Without further warning, the demon lifts a kid who's about to stomp on the tied boy's body and tossed the said kid aside, leaving him groaning.

The others who are still in shock didn't notice a bunch of shadows crawling its way towards the silver haired boy, wrapping him in its darkness before disappearing in its hold. The boy later then appears behind the demon who's still busy intimidating the group.

"You alright, Jack?" The demon turns to him who's still clutching his bruised body, letting out whimpers of pain. That's the first time she called me by my name, he thought.

"S-still can move." He then placed a firm hand on the demon's arm, gently tugging it as if saying to just let the group go.

"You over there, why did you initiate the assault? Why did you hurt him?" The demon was gentle, compelling the girl to confess, but she didn't.

"Answer me!" The demon was running out of patience, her voice booming and intimidating. "Don't waste my time, kids." She warns.

"Hurry up, answer her!" They all began to push the girl to answer the demon.

"W-why me? Him!" The girl points to the chubby boy. "He's the one who told me to start it!" And they all began to point to one another, it bothered the demon how they were all not willing to admit to their mistakes.

The demon had enough of it; taking advantage of the slowly setting sun, the demon threads her fingers ever so gracefully making the shadows formed by the dusty furniture dance around them. The demon makes a swirling motion, twisting and turning the shadows until a growling could be heard— the shadows formed into the shape of a bear. The very same replica of the bear that chased them in the woods.

The kids trembled at the sight of the huge shadow beast just within arm's reach. They sputtered and felt their knees weaken, they all began crying and muttering sorry.

"P-please, we only did it for o-our family!"

"We haven't eaten for days, spare us!"

"We're sorry! Our emotions got the best of us and we— we got envious b-because he's got everything we d-don't have!"

Their cries and pleas rang throughout the old building, guilt and shame etched on their crying faces. The demon who's finally satisfied with their reaction lifts her palm and brushes it over the still growling bear; it dissolved soon after her palms made contact with its shadowy fur. A burst of warm air blew over them all as the shadow bear dispersed.

The demon carefully cuts off the rope, untying the now unconscious boy before gently lifting him up, princess carry style, as if he weighed nothing. "Hang on, this will be quick." She whispers to her sleeping friend, quickly fishing out golden coins in her pocket and tossing it towards the still crying teenagers.

"Do better. And if you go after this boy again, I'll annihilate your families." The demon threatened. The group quickly nodded, wiping away their tears and slowly picking up the coins she threw.

"We will, Ma'am. Sorry again, for the inconvenience we've brought." The group all stood and bowed before the demon.

"Good. Now…" The demon then wears her human disguise, the group watches in shock as she walks towards the door as if nothing had happened.

"Forget me." She orders then snaps her fingers using her free hand, the sound reaching the teenagers' ears and they all begin to look at each other, seeing no one else in the room but them. Confused as to why they’re there, they asked:

"What just happened?"
