3rd Person POV:

[ 5 DAYS LEFT ]

Three days passed and the demon still hasn't caught a glimpse of the silver haired boy. She's been searching high and low, day and night, but he's a slippery fish to catch.

The demon's power is not that great. She could only manipulate shadows and make it fight in her stead, agility, teleportation, and superhuman strength. Other than that, she has to exert effort to achieve something she wants. Indeed, she is a daughter of the God and Goddess of hell, but that doesn't mean she's invisible.

Yesterday, after another exhausting search in the city for the boy, the demon finally had enough and called for reinforcement. Those people being: Ana and the group of teenagers. Wearing her human disguise, she held a meeting near the hotel.

"Alright, I need each and everyone of you to look for this boy." She hands out a sloppy drawing of Jack. The demon did her best to replicate the boy's features using pencil and crayons. The group looked at the drawing the demon made. One of the teenagers grimaced at her artwork.

"That's just a stickman." Ana confronts.

"Well I'm sorry, I'm not a good painter." The demon retorts.

"Could've done better." The group broke into a fit of giggles.

Thus, they all went separate ways and began their hunt for the boy. Of course, their labour wasn't for free; the demon paid each and everyone of them before they left.

Their hunt for the boy went on for a few hours before they regrouped and reported whatever that is related to the boy. Which all went with…

"Nothing." One of the teenagers says.

"I asked a few kids near the area and they said that they saw a boy with silver hair hopping around singing a song. He was last seen near the alley behind the shopping district." The leader of the group informs.

The demon was quite pleased to hear that the boy is still somewhere around them. She then looks at the rest of them, expecting something useful like the previous boy did. But the rest of them sighed, including Ana.

"The common bystanders by the brothel had seen the silver haired boy escaping by the window, other than that, nothing." Says the woman.

"We checked the usual spots he goes to, but sadly there's not a single strand of his hair we spot." They admitted.

The demon shook her head at the little information they gave her. But still thanked them anyway. These passing days feel like a waste of time to her. She felt uneasy and bothered, feeling like a piece of discarded bread thrown into a trash can.

"Ma'am! I've— huff, huff,— I think I know where he is!" The girl from before, the one who initiated the assault against Jack, appeared behind the building and ran towards them. Catching her breath before proceeding to tell her findings.

"Uncle Bernard; a wood cutter, I ran into him and questioned him if he saw a silver haired boy and he— he said he saw a crying boy with silver hair in the woods!" The girl claims.

The demon's ears perked at the new discovery her team made. How foolish of her not to check the forest or other places they've gone to before! She mentally slaps herself before inhaling deeply.

"Thank you so much, really." The demon clasped the girl's shoulder and fished out her remaining coins and handed it to her.

She then dashed off towards a dark alley to remove her human disguise and to summon up her strength to direct her consciousness to the hiking trail in the forest. Soon after, her surroundings zoomed past her; the demon's body being teleported to the exact location she envisioned.
