--Sun--

The three moons shone brightly in the night sky, willing everything under it's shine to come and watch them.

Maybe that was what forced the lost tribe to wake up. Sun's eyes shot open. She screamed as everything came in, too soon, too raw. All the pain, the betrayal. She cried, unable to control her emotions. All was lost.

After what felt like hours, she finally managed to calm down. Sun looked across the cave. It was filled with forms of sleeping dragons. Many were still, though some of them twitched, as if they too were about to wake up. Her gaze fell at form of her brother, Moon. She shook him.

"Come on, wake up, you gotta wake up." she gently ordered him. His eyes slowly opened, then, as he gained his consciousness, shot open. Tears streamed down his face. Sun let him cry. All was lost.

He stood up. "We... we should make sure the world above is safe to live again." he managed to say at least. Sun nodded.

Together they moved the boulder that hid the only entrance to the cave. The moonlight shone in their faces. The siblings walked out of the save and sat down.

"Never though I'd see Pureland again." Sun said softly. Moon turned to her, his expression clouded. Moonlight shone at his face, making him look unreal.

"Are you sure this is still Pureland?" he asked gently. Sun stared at him in shock. "Of course this is Pureland! What else could it be?" she snapped at him. He sighed. The moons reflected in his eyes.

"Let's face it. We don't know how long has the tribe been asleep. We might have been sleeping for two days, or maybe hundreds of years. There may be completely different tribes. Let's admit it, we don't know if this is even called Pureland!" he snapped back. Sun was silent for moment.

He turned his head away from her. She sobbed. They sat there, night becoming dawn, grass rustling around them. Finally, she couldn't hold it much longer.

"How could you say something like tha-" she never finished. In one swift motion, dragon pounced at her and cut her throat. She gagged at her own blood as he pushed her snout into dust.

She wanted to cry out as another dragon attacked Moon. He tried to fight, but the other dragon was bigger, more trained, and most important, had weapons.

Sun watched as the bigger dragon threw her brother in the grasses. She watched as he rised unnaturally long dagger.

Her strength ebbed away. Her eyes closed. She heard his screech of pure terror and pain.

Sudden vision nearly destroyed her. She saw dragons being mercilessly killed. She looked at dragons crying over dead bodies.

All was lost.

The slaughter has begun.

And there was nothing she could do about it.
