--Moth--

//TWO DAYS AFTER EVENTS OF CHAPTER 4//

Moth watched as Soundweaver worked with the stolen treasure.

She was beyond happy to help him. She made one pile of silver jewels, second of gold and third of diamonds and other 'shiny stuff'. Moth was fascinated about how easily he could melt the golden chains and shape them.

"So, what do you think about us dating so far?" he lifted silver earring, flamed it up, and decorated something that looked like butterfly's wing. Moth crossed her talons, mentally giving herself medal for not hurting him at the moment.

"For the fourty-sixth time this day, we are not dating, thank you."

Soundweaver smiled at her. "Best friend, then? What do you think of it?" he asked goofily.

She smiled at him. "It's not that bad, being friends with DustWing. Truth to be told, I expected something terible, but I supose being raised by StarWings made you okay." Moth winked at him.

Soundweaver grinned at her. "That's where you are wrong, girlfriend. I wasn't raised by your tribe. My father is still alive. Which leads to my question, wanna meet Root?"

"What about the jewels?"

"Will be fine. They need to cool dowm, after all, and it would be boring to wait here, even with you by my side."

Moth hesitated. She did want to meet her friend's dad, but she was never in dungeon, and from what she heard, it was super scary place. Then she looked at Soundweaver's hopeful face and all worry disappeared. How could she say no to him?

"Fine. Show me your non-StarWing family." she lef the room, and Soundweaver followed happily.

"You realize you haven't snapped at me when I called you my 'girlfriend'. You like me, don't you?" he made not-really-romantic pose.

Moth sighed. "Fourty-seventh time this day. Besides, I wouldn't try to push it."

"Still can't belive you count how many times a day I tell you I live you."

"Just take me to your father, stupidhead." Moth waved her talons at him and he bowed.

----

The dungeon was dark.

And scary.

Moth knew she would't survive there without going mad. Soundweaver, on the other talon, looked completely unfazed. She got the feeling that he came here often. He held burning torch. She realized the flames were almost licking his scales and wondered why he didn't even flinch.

The corridors were alive with sounds. The walls wailed. The floor cried. Moth shivered in fear. This was not on her to-do list. Never.

Soundweaver suddenly stopped and she nearly bumped into him. "Father?" he called out. They stood before big cell, and Moth though it looked darker that all the others they came across.

A shape emerged from the shadows.

But it wasn't a DustWing, like Moth expected. It was a MistWing. They were brown-gray, so tall and musculated some might mistake him for DustWing.

"You are hybrid?" she nearly shouted at her friend.

Soundweaver laughted. "Hah, no, I am not. This is Bristle, his cellmate. Hi, Bristle." Soundweaver smirked. Bristle jawned. "You are visiting again? Weren't you here, like, three days ago?"

"No. Yesterday. And I want dad to meet my new girlfriend." he explained.

"Fourty-eighth time." Moth muttered under her breath. Bristle looked at her, then an Soundweaver, then back again at her.

"Root! Your annoying dragonet is here, and has a friend with him!" the call was so loud and unexpected that Moth jumped. Bristle smiled. There was movement, and another dragon came to view. He moved so fast Moth could swear he teleported there.

"Son!" he beamed. Soundweaver waved his wings in greetings and tried to hug him through the bars. Unsuccessfully.

"I am so happy to see you! We were just talking abou how are you doing, right Bristle?" Root cried.

Soundweaver laughted. "Just get over with it. I wanna sleep, which is impossible with you two chatting like sparrows." Bristle grunted.

Root rolled his eyes. "Sorry for Bristle's mood. They are usually friendy, but today they got some letter. Dunno what that is about." he explained.

"They?" Moth echoed. "Yeah, Bristle goes by they and them. No idea why, but once I called them 'she', and almost got broken arm." Root chatted on.

Moth looked at Bristle.

"...Right."

Soundweaver coughed. "Anyway, father, meet my girlfriend, Moth, officially Starfly. She's a princes or something, but she never answered me when I ask her." he said.

"Fourty-ninth. Let's see if we can make it fifty. I am Moth, and I can speak for myself, thank you very much. Soundweaver, I am gonna make your day. I am not a princess, but I am expected to act like one. Nice meeting you Root, Bristle." she faked a bow.

Root actually laughted. "Nice meeting you, too, almost-princess." he bowed back. A ghost of smile crept to Bristle's face.

"Well, it was nice to see you, bet we are working on something, and I need to get back to it. Bye father, and Bristle, please smile a bit." Soundweaver backed away from the cell. Root waved at them and Bristle yawned again.

Moth said her goodbyes as well, and the two dragons were hidden in darkness once again.

----

"So, what do you think of Root?" Soundweaver bounced around her.

Moth closed her eyes. "I think he is okay. Bristle too." she answered.

Her friend laughted. "Glad you like them. You know, StarWings usually don't even talk to me, so it's nice having a StarWing friend. It's like a gesture saying 'I can befriend one of yours and you can do nothing about it.'" He waved his wings, beaming. Moth smiled back at him.

"And great news! I have the gift!" he whispered. Moth opened her eyes wide, suddenly excited as he was.

"Show me! Show me!" she begged him. Soundweaver laughted.

He pulled out two carefuly packed boxes and handed her one.

"To our great friendship, girlfriend?"

"To our great friendship."

She unpacked the box. Moth pulled out the thing that was untill then inside, and her breath hitched. She held beautiful shining butterly on chain, made from gold, with silver details. The wings were mixature of colored glass and diamonds. She put it around her neck.

"To our great friendship." she whispered.
