T/W ⚠️: Mentions of Blood

Beomgyu breathed heavily through the tears on his face while laying on the sand, barely holding on to his last light force left in him. His hands were pressed onto his shoulder and his torso, where he had been injured the worst.

He was overly exhausted, and bleeding heavily.

The poor ravenet was beginning to doubt he will make it out alive; the pain was so bad.

I don't want to join my parents, I don't want to die here!

But of course, none of the keepers or trainers cared about his state.

After all, they just want to kill their animals by making them participate in dangerous fights. It's not like it's humans fighting each other like this, so why should they care?

Two keepers pulled Beomgyu up by the shoulders, exactly where he was bleeding the most, and the crossover cried out in pain.

"Soobin hyung!"

The purple haired man wanted to cry so badly at that moment, seeing just how much Beomgyu was suffering.

And it was all because of him.

He couldn't believe himself; he almost killed Beomgyu in a fucking game.

Someone who is like a real younger brother to him.

Someone he cares about deeply.

"ONE MORE TIME, THIS PUMA HERE WINS!" the headmaster chorused, pointing at Soobin.

The applause, the undeserved applause, only became louder.

Soobin almost wanted to throw up all of his meals onto the sand when he heard those cheers. It made him sick to his stomach to an unimaginable amount of guilt.

His heart was speeding up, and it wasn't just an after effect from the vigorous work he just did: he really thought he'll have a cardiac arrest from the terror settling into his veins.

Why didn't I die here just now?

That's all he wondered.

Yeonjun almost tore his chains off when he saw Beomgyu's state. The younger ravenet was dragged towards the chain area they were in, thrown to the ground almost lifelessly.

"Get the chains on," the keeper ordered.

"Yes sir."

"You keep the other two under control."

"Understood."

Yeonjun moved infront of Hueningkai just before the younger could be stabbed in the back unexpectedly. Which is why he was met with stabs twice.

Yeonjun yowled with pain.

"Hyung!"

"I'm okay!"

The two heard chains jingling, and a body hitting the ground again harshly. Beomgyu was chained up, almost laying like a rag doll on the cold ground.

"This one was a fighter," the head keeper said.

"Indeed. Let's see if he makes it through the night with those injuries."

Laughing haughtily, the keepers left.

Yeonjun and Hueningkai scrambled towards the ravenet, who had not lifted his face once since he was thrown here.

"Beomgyu!"

At the familiar voices, Beomgyu lifted his head and looked at the yellow haired male with tears of pain.

"H-Hyung."

Yeonjun pulled him off the ground, and held the younger male in his arms. Beomgyu buried his head into Yeonjun's chest, breathing heavily. Hueningkai immediately noticing the growing pool of mahogany fluids spreading underneath him.

"What happened hyung?!"

"Soobin... he... he..."

"Shh, take it easy on yourself Beomie," Yeonjun soothed.

Beomgyu choked on the air, trying to breathe properly.

"S-Soobin hyung attacked me and he took it to the extreme point."

"Oh god," Yeonjun replied, pressing a hand on the shoulder wound.

Beomgyu winced loudly.

"It hurts Hyung," he cried.

"I believe you."

Yeonjun glanced at Hueningkai.

"Help me press the wounds."

Hueningkai nodded and shuffled over as much as the chains allowed him to. He laid his hands on the second wound, the one on Beomgyu's stomach.

Crossovers have no magical healing powers or anything like that, but one thing was different in comparison to humans. Pressing their hands on wounds was actually helpful in reducing blood flow and somewhat help grow the skin together. And also because, comfort was usually brought to their bodies and souls. Even better, it was especially effective if two could help.

Slowly but surely, Beomgyu's breathing became less ragged and the blood flow decreased, and after ten minutes of hard work, the ravenet male was finally feeling better. Yeonjun and Hueningkai hugged Beomgyu at the same time, and in return, the older ravenet wrapped his arms around the two.

"Thanks guys," he whispered.

"Any time Beomie."

"Will you guys have enough strength for later?" he suddenly asked.

"What do you mean?" Yeonjun questioned.

"Since Soobin won... he's going to match off with the newcomer."

Yeonjun widened his eyes, suddenly recalling the events from the morning.

"He's coming in."

The chains that were around Taehyun's wrists clicked off and a rope was thrown around his neck.

"LET ME GO!"

Yeonjun tried to reprimand him, but the redhead would not listen.

"Why is this puma so damn feisty?!" the keeper yelled.

"Will he need more drugs to keep him under control?"

A smirk spread across the keeper's face.

"Hmm... he'd make a good opponent on the ring, right?"

Yeonjun did not want to believe it.

"Guys... I think... Taehyun is going to fight Soobin."
