(Day before the accident)
Ding!
The door chimed as one of Chan's regulars walked in. "Hey Channie boy, got anything new for me?" The man gleamed, glancing around at the various bikes Chan sold. His fresh ocean raspberry hair developed a disparity with his grimy leather jacket. Chan greeted him with a smile and offered him the newest selection. The freshest bike had red, orange, and yellow flames. The body, made of the considerably stunning matte steel.
"It's been a while, Chan. How's your girl? Are you and y/n still together?" Chan smirked cheekily upon hearing your name. He was overjoyed with you, so ecstatic that he planned to propose soon. He bought the ring already.
"Yeah, she's doing great. She started working on a new drama just a few months ago. I hope I can tie the knot soon"
"Oh, really!? Wow well, congrats man, wish you guys the best" Chan grinned and let Han explore the store. Chan kept an appreciation for bikes. He rode one of his own. All black matte finish. He loved the excitement. It made him feel free.
After Han took off, Chan left Felix responsible for closing. Chan would pick you up from work. Since you worked on a new drama, Chan accepted the responsibility of picking you up every day from the set. You texted him about finishing early since you didn't have multiple scenes to cover today. Chan hopped on his bike and drove off. The daylight was descending; the traffic was reasonable, everyone in a rush to get home from a long day of work.
Chan pulled up to the set location, stationing his bike near the curve in his usual spot. He texted you his arrival and waited patiently reclining against his bike. Generally it would take you about five minutes to grab your stuff from the trailer but you were already prepared. Chan adjusted his posture upon noticing you. You strolled steadily next to a tall raven haired male. Chan noticed how charming you appeared in your burgundy suede dress. With the chilly fall weather, you paired the dress with a light pink long sleeve thermal. You had a preference for pulling on the ends of the sleeves to cover up your cold palms.
"Chan"
"Hyungjin"
Chan held a hazy smile while Hyunjin maintained a pointed smirk. Chan didn't particularly like your co-star Hyungjin because he gave Chan the impression he desired to be more than friends with you. However he trusted you and knew it was only work. "I'll see you tomorrow Jin" you waved him goodbye and he jumped into his sports car. You waited for him to drive off before flinging yourself on Chan. his lips connected to yours immediately.
"Let's get out of here babes" he secured the helmet on for you and he hopped on his bike. You followed, hugging him tightly.
"Hold on baby" Chan merged with traffic with a roar. You had constantly been anxious to ride on motorcycles but when you met Chan he demonstrated to you the pleasure and exhilarating side of riding. Late-night drives were your favorite, the midnight sky dark and astonishing.
Riding with Chan was always stimulating and thrilling in the best way possible. Though you forever feared it wasn't safe. You worried he'd get in an accident. Even if he rode safely and responsibly. He loved it and you just wanted him to be happy.
Once home, Chan made you some dinner. After you both cuddle on the couch watching a movie.
It was a ritual, watching movies after work. From 90's classics to marvel movies. It didn't make a difference what movie you guys watched. Or at least tried, periodically the movie wasn't actually attended to. You both would get lost in dreamland. You both falled asleep before even reaching half of the film. But tonight you'd make it your life's goal to finally finish a movie.
"Your falling asleep channie" his head fell back. His low snores escaping his lips. You smile to yourself before leaning in closer to him. You turned the tv off, pushing chan gently down on the sofa. Making sure not to wake him, you laid your head on his chest just listening to his heart beat as he fell deeper into sleep.
"Goodnight my channie boy" he subconsciously held you closed. Feeling warm and protected.
"Goodnight my baby" he whispered back. Groggy with sleep. Eventually around one in the morning he carried you to bed to sleep more comfortably. He held you the whole night like he always did.
The day after that, Chan found himself working another morning shift. Felix would cover the afternoon shift. So he could focus on the surprise he had planned for you.
"Ok Chan, what are you missing? Got the set up ready. She's on her way. The ring is in my pocket. Nothing just nervous." He spoke to himself, locking the apartment door. You worked that day so you'd meet him at the restaurant.
He pulled out of the apartment complex. Merging into traffic, his red helmet covered his excitement. Already imagining how beautiful you must look under the night sky. The woman he had come to love, would finally become his forever.
But as he made his turn at the light, a black shiny Bentley struck into him. Pushing him fifteen ft away. Chan wasn't given even a second to register what happened. He attempted pushing the bike off as the weight continued to crush his legs. He struggled, grunting and whining. He could only think about you, and how he so painfully needed to reach you. He proceeded to shove but he grew weaker by the minute. Feeling the dizziness increase. The pressure in his head was too overwhelming.
"Y/n...I have to get to her......" he struggled to scream but his mouth, bone dry. He took his helmet off for a better look. A rave-haired man approached him in a black fresh tailored suit.
"Enjoy the afterlife, Bang Chan." He gave him two punches in the head. Causing Chan to blackout completely.
You however found yourself elsewhere, arriving at the restaurant shortly after work. As you walked up the crosswalk to the front door. You felt something in your gut, an indication that something wasn't right. You heard the sirens loud. Watching the ambulance pass by in a rush.
"There was a crash three blocks down. Poor guy, I saw it coming down the road." You heard a couple of ladies talk as you waited at the table.
"He was driving a motorcycle no less. Those things are deadly. I hope his loved one's won't suffer too much." You felt your heart sink inside. Checking the time, Chan was ten full minutes late. He was always on time. You stood rapidly, collecting your things. When your phone rang.
"Hello..??" You spoke anxiously.
"Is this Y/N? We are contacting you because you are listed as Chan's emergency contact. We are sorry to inform you...that he's been in an accident. Please come quickly. We aren't certain how long he has left."
Everyone around began to stare as you stood there emotionless. Yet your eyes filled with tears. You wished you heard the lady wrong. You wished Chan was here instead.
"Ok I'll be right there, please don't let him die." You spoke as you tried your best to get back outside. The whole drive you cried and cried. Passing the wreckage. You saw his totaled motorcycle. The damages it suffered still didn't take away from recognizing it immediately.
"Please be ok Chan, please don't die."
