(Disclaimer: i know nothing ab d&d so don't slander me in the comments bc of the way it is talked ab...)

I shouldn't have trusted his ass. Fuck why does it upset me like this?? I hate him so much for making me feel this way.

Eddie slammed his locker shut, it was friday and tomorrow was the campaign, it was also the last day before winter break. He desperately needed the time off despite the fact that he hardly went to any of his classes. It was too early in the morning for this, Eddie watched as two freshman ate each others faces.

God sometimes he wished the teachers would stand in the hallway and monitor it, because it was chaos today. Sure everyone was headed to last hour, so people were hugging and crying.

People are so dramatic.

Eddie had noticed that no one was punished, and he was absolutely pissed about it. Steve promised, he fucking promised he would help Eddie. But no, yesterday he found Gareth with a black eye and wet hair from being shoved in a toilet. Eddie didn't want to see Steve at all over the break, he was so happy that he was only dropping the kids off at the campaign and not actually staying. Eddie wasn't sure he could take seeing Steve and having to remain calm.

Eddie knew he wasn't a violent person, he didn't know how to throw a punch super well and he definitely didn't have muscles. If Steve got angry enough he would beat Eddie's ass in a fight, which pissed him off even more. He was glad his last class was with Chrissy, or he might've skipped and found Steve alone.

"Hey Eds! How's it going? Doing anything cool over the break?" He thought the question was a little ironic because he never did anything necessarily cool ever. Sure he thought d&d sessions and concerts in bars were cool, but cheer captain Chrissy Cunningham would not.

"Umm, I've got some campaigns lined up, a few concerts. Oh! I'm playing in Indianapolis tomorrow night, you should stop by." Eddie thought that was cool, and he liked the way Chrissy nodded enthusiastically and began writing down all the information about where he was performing. He knew she was going to bring a crowd, but that isn't why he invited her. Eddie genuinely liked her company, and he liked how she wasn't mean to him despite knowing his secret.

"I'll invite the nice guys from the basketball team, not Jason of course." She scoffed at the name and watched as Chrissy wrote down Steve and Billy and no one else.

"Maybe not Harrington." Eddie said uncharacteristically quiet, which was made Chrissy perk up slightly before scratching Steve's name out.

"I can't believe school is already almost half way over. I'm really proud of you, you're gonna graduate this year!" She beamed at him, he really really liked her. He wished people were more like her, she was such a good fucking person. She didn't deserve any of the shit her parents put her through, and Eddie knew the reason she originally spoke to him.

She wanted to buy drugs, it was sophomore year for her and his first senior year. He already had a reputation with drugs and other shit, it was how he made money to support his uncle when he needed to. He refused to sell to her though, he knew all that she needed was a friend and someone to talk to. Everyone around her expected so fucking much from her, she started on the varsity cheer team as a freshman, she started dating a player on the varsity basketball team too.

She was practically royalty, but she hadn't asked for all that. She developed a weird need to be liked by everyone, which anyone in high school knows is positively impossible.

"Chrissy, you're a really good person. You know that?" Eddie mused with a grin, Chrissy just laughed off the compliment and waved at him dismissively. She then turned to some of her friends on the other side of her, they began talking about their practices that their Coach was requiring over the break.
