"Let's date!"

". . .Okay. . ."

It had been three weeks since that day, and absolutely nothing had changed. Y/n was so excited at the beginning. She would visit him nearly everyday and ask to hang out or go on a date. He would usually say that he was busy or that he wasn't feeling up to it. Both were blatant lies, but Y/n let it slide. During those two weeks, they exchanged one very awkward hug that Y/n requested to act more couple-like. He didn't even hug back. He just stood there. That was pretty much it though. That was the extent of their relationship.

Y/n sighed and sipped her coffee with a bored expression. Sitting at the table next to her was a couple on a café date, laughing and blushing. They chatted meaninglessly and shared bites of each other's choice of sweet. The guy even wiped some whipped cream off his date's cheek.

"That's it! I'm so sick of this!"

Y/n finished off her coffee in one last gulp and slammed it down on the table definitively. She got a few side looks for this, but she could care less. Why can't I have that?! Is it too much to ask for?! Apparently too much to ask him at least. She rolled her eyes as she thought of him.

When they first met, Y/n was captivated by his beauty; his complexion, his hair, his eyes, absolutely everything you could name. Even as she got to know him, his personality had her blushing. Yes, he was a bright red flag, but she saw past that. She loved his confidence and perseverance to reach his goals, twisted as they may be.

She buried her head in her hands and massaged her forehead. "Who knew he would be such a crappy partner. . ." She mumbled to herself. Unluckily, someone heard her. "Relationship trouble?" Without lifting her head, she responded to the stranger. "Yeah. . . I suppose it is trouble."

She hated the thought of having trouble with something as she considered herself to be a perfectionist. It set a terrible taste in her mouth. The stranger pulled up a chair at her table and continued to speak. "Y'know, I'm not the best with relationships. I can't even confess to the girl I like. But, I'm pretty good at listening." This peaked Y/n's interest.

"Oh yeah? It'll probably be a lot of complaints. You sure you can handle it?"

The man chuckled deeply and accepted her challenge. "Lift your head up and give me your worst." She quirked a brow and lifted her head up to look at the stranger. His hairstyle almost had her rolling on the floor in laughter. He gave her an intense glare and blew self-consciously at the loose strands of hair falling out of his braid. "Are you gonna vent or not? I don't have all day, y'know?!"
