Looking forward, directly at the white sheet rock wall, vivid memories of the night Nathaniel heard his mom and dad arguing for the last time traveled his mind.

He remembered how he was only seven when he was comforting his oblivious little sister in her room while he listened in on his parents arguing in the nearby living room.

You would think parents arguing wouldn't do any type of harm to their children but it did harm to Nathaniel.

He never had a father figure in his life since his dad left and even when his father was there it was like he wasn't. He was a pot head and sometimes Nathaniel would watch him snort white stuff...what he called it.

His mom was very much aware but due to her being weak minded, she never did anything about it. It took for his father to leave on his own for her to wake up to reality and actually try and be better for both her and her children.

It's not like she needed any help doing that though. She might've been weak for him but she made sure to take care of both of her children...just not mentally.

Nathaniel came to a point in his childhood where he began to hate his mom for ever creating him to exist because he'd get picked on a lot for being fatherless, by a diverse group of children.

Being a victim of society and a child from the projects where you're stereotyped, Nathaniel kiang BizMoore failed to stand out and his way of "making it" made it no better.

All jobs he applied for...Declined or just no call at all and they could be places from one's own community.

It's no excuse for why he chose the path he chose but he had no faith so he settled for less. He doesn't too much regret his choice though, but he mostly wishes to do better for himself. Maybe one day own a company that he enjoys going into, helping out his hardworking employees.

Nathaniel's childhood and growth to an adult was more painful than one would think. It's why the person on the outside looking in will never understand.

It's also why he hasn't spoken much about himself to Alexius. He grew up being taught that everyone has their own problems and yes they do but it still doesn't stop one from talking about their personal problems.

It stopped Nathaniel though. He thought that he'd warmed up to Alexius but truth is...he has a lot more of warming to go just like her.

He loves her dearly but he wished that he could speak to her about personal things without feeling like she'd judge him.

She hasn't really gave off any signs of being judgemental but he was still scared of what her reaction may be to certain things he'd say and express of himself.
