"Trouble always seems to come our way when we least want it to, doesn't it...?"
Xiaojun sighed as he finished measuring the last bit of the ingredients for their potion.
Now that he had finished his task, Hendery and YangYang were able to just grab the ingredients they needed without having to wait for them.
"We're really sorry for coming to you like this hyung. But this place is the only one of our bases that's off anyone's radar"
"It's no problem at all Sungchan. We understand how dangerous it would've been to stay at Kun-hyung's place, and we're glad that you chose here instead of the range. Also, I see you've made a new companion. You must be Hueningkai. We've heard some nice things about you"
Xiaojun kindly greeted the younger with a smile and a handshake.
"And you're the three Second Claws. It's really nice to meet you. I'm sorry for all of the trouble my friends have caused..."
"Don't worry, we're going to fix all of this. And it will be a lot easier now that you're with us. We're happy to welcome you to our happy little friend circle and family. Actually, we're glad that you all came now. You've saved us the trouble of calling you"
"Why's that Jun?"
Doyoung asked, returning from resting Yuta in one of the bedrooms.
"The potion will actually be done much sooner than we thought, which works in our favor since time is not on our side right now. We actually found all of the ingredients we needed a little while ago, and the potion should be done by tonight"
"Really?? That's great~"
"Now the next thing we need to know is something you could possibly help us with Hueningkai. Considering we haven't heard anything from either Jisung or Chenle, your friends have most likely taken them. Do you have any idea where they could've taken them?"
"Actually, I do. They've likely taken them to our base. We have a makeshift prison in our walkout basement that Yeonjun-hyung uses the most. He's only used that room to hold werewolves there as prisoners and to torture them before he eventually kills them. He's probably going to keep them alive longer since he finally has a member of the Crimsonmanes right in his clutches"
The boy explained, getting nervous just from thinking about the room.
"I see. This actually works in our favor more than I thought. We should get the potion to Jisung tomorrow night. One of us can sneak in through the basement's outside door, and then help him drink it. It should completely take effect in him sometime the next day and then we can focus on helping them escape"
"And then we can take care of the other mages"
Sicheng frowned from where he was seated in the room.
"Right..."
"Don't get me wrong, I don't want things to escalate too much to the point where we have to kill them, but depending on the situation, it might just come to that"
"I know... If I can make a request, I would like to be the one to give Jisung-hyung the potion. If any of them apart from Yeonjun-hyung sees me, they might hesitate to kill me and I'll be able to get back out. I'd rather put myself at risk than for any of you to get hurt trying to help Jisung's condition"
"That's very brave of you. We really appreciate your consideration and courage in this matter. However, one of us must go near the base with you to ensure that you can get away fast enough"
Xiaojun informed the younger.
"How about two of us?"
Donghyuck asked, making his and Mark's presence known.
They had previously been put to bed like Yuta, to rest after being electrocuted. After overhearing their planning, they decided to volunteer.
"Are you two sure you want to go along with this? I would hate for you to get electrocuted again and end up getting stuck there, or even killed"
"Apart from Jisung, Hyuck and I are the fastest of either of our packs and would be able to get Hyuka out of there easily. And if something does happen, our link can help us get out of it like it has in the past"
"That's right... You can change your destinies at any given moment.. And it is best if both of you go because of your link... Alright then, you can both be chaperones for Hueningkai tomorrow night. But you should both head back to sleep and rest up until then"
"We will. Thank you hyung"
"You should head to bed soon too Hyuka. We'll see you tomorrow"
Donghyuck waved at Hueningkai with a smile, earning a small wave from him before heading back to bed with Mark.
Soon after they left, the rest of them heard a small puff of air come from where YangYang and Hendery were. Hendery then grabbed a bottle with a sun shaped cork and helped pour the concoction into it, both having a big smile on their faces.
"It's finally done~. It's all ready for our commute tomorrow night~"
YangYang cheered, triumphantly holding up the bottle.

"Is it supposed to be yellow? I thought it was called a Crimson Potion?"
"Right you are Shotaro. We actually thought the same thing. But it's not called Crimson because it's meant to be that color. It's called that because it's meant only for a Crimsonmane to consume. It's yellow to give off the energy of the sun, because it's going to help him control his powers and his shifting for the day and night, rather than just the night"
"This is perfect. Everything looks like it's going to work out in our favor. Let's all get some rest for tomorrow. And just so you know Hueningkai, you don't have to get up early if you don't want to"
Hendery made sure to give Hueningkai that little piece of information before eagerly scurrying off to bed with Xiaojun.
YangYang made sure to lock up the potion before heading to bed as well, in order to keep it safe. The remaining ones that we're still awake all began to flock to the bedrooms to get some sleep. But apart from the rest of them, Hueningkai was the most nervous of them all.
