There's two reasons Makena ever cried for her brother. Let me tell you about the first time. Makena and her brother were close. Joined at the hip close. Whenever you saw one, you saw the other. That's until He went to college.

When Makena found out her brother was going to college, she cried for three days. She's never been without her brother before, how would she live without him? Well she somehow managed because after her brother's move, everything changed in Mystic Falls. The Salvatores, Katherine Pierce, and the Mikaelsons came to town and flipped it upside down.

Now, let's talk about the second time. Makena was hanging with Bonnie and Caroline at Bonnie's house. Elena was supposed to come over but she had something to deal with, with the Salvatores.

"Care can you check my phone please? I'm waiting on a text back from Chris."

Chris and Makena texts everyday and call once a week ever since he left for college. She texted him yesterday and haven't received a text back so she was getting worried.

"Jeez Makena, Chris is in college. Let him have some college fun." Caroline joked passing Makena her phone. Makena rolled her eyes before laughing sarcastically. "Ha,ha,ha. You're just mad you're an only child."

"Not really. Why would I want to share my parents love?" Caroline said making Bonnie laugh. Makena rolled her eyes once more. She loved having a brother, a big brother at that. Since their father wasn't in the house, her brother was the first person to show her how life really is. She frowned when she saw her brother haven't texted her back. She's goes to call him but was stopped as a knock on Bonnie's door scared her.

"I'll get it." Makena says going to the door. Her face twisted in confusion as she opened the door to Sheriff Forbes, Caroline's mom. "Hey Care! Your mom is..." she trails off as she saw Sheriff Forbes shake her head. It was too late as Caroline and Bonnie came bouncing to the door.

"Hey mom, what's up?"

"I'm actually here to talk to Makena."

Worry spread across Makenas face. Sheriff Forbes never wants to talk to her.. not about something serious which she's about to tell her by the look on her face. "What's going on?"

"It's about your brother Chris.. He was involved in a car accident and he died on impact. I'm sorry." Makenas world stopped. Chris is dead? Her brother? The only family she have left? No.. that's not possible. "No."

Shock spreads across Everyone's faces. "Excuse me?" Sheriff Forbes say. "My brother isn't dead. He's going to text me later tonight." She said in a fake happy tone. Bonnie goes to comfort her but she moves away. "No Bonnie. My brother isn't dead. He's not dead! He's not.." Makenas lip start to quiver.

He's not dead.

It's been a week since Sheriff Forbes gave the news to Makena and no one have seen her except Bonnie and Caroline. As soon as Elena found out, she made Damon take her over to Bonnie's. She knocked at the door and waited nervously. She breathes a sigh of relief as Caroline opens the door but was confused when she stopped her from coming in.

"Caroline move. I need to talk to Makena."

"She doesn't want to talk to anyone."

"But she's talking to you and Bonnie?"

"Barely Elena.. we're only here to make sure she's still alive and eating.." Tears well up in Elena's eyes feeling hurt that she can't take away her friends pain. "What should I do?" Elena voice cracks.
