"Shit! Shit! Shit!" Zuri curses as she realizes she overslept and is late for work. Her boss is a real stickler for tardiness and hates her, so if she is late, she is getting fired. She quickly shoots out of her bed and into her conjoined bathroom to do a speedy version of her morning routine.
15 minutes later, she's rushing out of the bathroom with minty breath and a clean face. It's a good thing she already picked out her outfit last night or else, she would've been scrambling to find one. In 10 minutes, she took off her pajamas and moisturized her body before putting on her clothes. After all of that, she ran out of her house grabbing her keys, lunch, and purse on the way out.
What would usually take 30 minutes, she made it to work in 15 minutes due to traffic being light. She ran past Lexi (her work bestie) yelling greetings as she made it to the staircase, running up three flights of stairs before regretting her decision. At the third floor, she decided to get on the elevator taking it up to the 10th floor.
She finally made it to her desk where her other work bestie Caroline sat on the other side of her. "Do you know you're really late Zuri?" She whisper-shouted. Zuri grimaces. "Do he know?" she asks, pointing down the hall to her boss's office. "No. You are so lucky." Caroline told her as she went back to work. "He came in 3 minutes before you and asked where you were. I told him you were in the bathroom."
