"There you are!" Sasha called out, shooting out of her seat and waving at one of the people that was milling through the seats.
"Hey, Jean! Over here!" Connie joined in, finally getting a man's attention.
"We thought that we would never see you again!" Sasha cried out, moving to wrap her arms around Jean's torso as he swept his hands through his hair. "Don't ever stroll away from us again."
"Says the ones who did exactly that. I swear, I need to get child leashes for you two," Jean replied before sitting beside the two. The man let out a sigh before turning his eyes to look at the others around them, eyes widening when he spotted a cute girl with a red scarf wrapped around her neck. "Hey, who is she?"
"Her name's Mikasa, and she's not interested in you..." came a brunette's stony reply as he turned back to glare daggers at Jean, whose mouth dropped open in surprise.
"Yeah, I wouldn't mess with him. Mikasa and he are childhood friends or whatever..." Connie warned as Sasha nodded in agreement, taking a bite out of a calzone. "Hey, where did that even come from?"
"You know when we stopped by the cafeteria to have some food..."
"Yeah?"
"I may or may not have swiped it from someone's plate-"
"Sasha, why?!" Connie exclaimed as Jean rolled his eyes at the girl's stupidity.
"Look, I was hungry and I didn't have enough money on me at that moment!" Sasha took a smaller bite of the calzone, shrugging her shoulders. "Honestly, my tuition pays for all costs. I'm not a criminal... At least, I don't think-"
"Your argument will not be heard in court..." Jean quipped as Sasha took yet another bite of the calzone. "Don't try to hide the evidence."
"Can Connie be my lawyer?" the brunette girl asked, giggling as Connie flashed her a flabbergasted look.
"Huh, don't rope me into this?!"
"Are you sure you want Connie as your lawyer?" Jean asked, moving to palm the back of his neck.
"You know what? I guess that I'm going to be her lawyer."
"You sound so sure of yourself-" Jean stopped talking when he noticed that an older woman with dark hair and freckles was walking up to them. "Um, do you need anything?"
"Hello, I noticed that the three of you were getting along so well. I was wondering if you could possibly stay with my son, Marco, for the rest of orientation. He's a sweet boy, and I worry about him..." She motioned towards someone, waving them over. "This would be Marco. It's his first year here, so I really want him to have some close friends-"
"Mama, please..." the boy softly spoke, his identical freckled cheeks and ears turning crimson. "Sorry..."
"You're good! It took a lot of convincing for my dad to even let me drive here by myself!" Sasha exclaimed, flashing him a close-eyed smile. "Some parents are just like that. We understand~"
"My mom's the exact same way. Don't worry about it, man," Jean added on, throwing his head back to laugh. "She did the exact same thing with Connie-the one with no hair- and Sasha."
"Well, I'll be going now, Marco! Have a good time. Remember to attend all of your classes and be safe!" She stood on her tiptoes to kiss her son's cheek, as he chuckled.
"I know-"
"I really do not want you to get into trouble like your older brother. Well, have you gotten everything together?" the woman worried as Marco nodded once again. "Alright, don't forget to call me!" She offered him a smile before turning around and leaving the room.
