Marinette flew into the night thanks to her yoyo. She smiled, feeling her worries drift away as if gravity was dragging them away from the starry night sky of Paris. She and Cat Noire had met up a few hours ago and had split up in the city for patrol.
Everything was quiet, No one was out in the streets. But the dead silence of Paris was still making her worried. Yes, it was quiet now, but soon, she knew that Shadow Month would send a new villain. Someone he had taken advantage of. Someone that she may have hurt.
But right now was not the time for being guilty, it was midnight right now, Parisians were all asleep, except perhaps her best friend and partner Cat Noire and the rest of the boys back in the bakery, waiting for a moment when they would be there for her.
As soon as she landed on the top of the Eiffel tower, Marinette instantly fell to her knees at the sense of familiarity. She and cat Noire had spent the last 4 weeks meeting here at night. As much as the silly alley cat wanted to call them <dates> Marinette knew it could never be like that. She had to give up romance for the sake of others.
But she needs Cat Noire to hurry up! She needs to tell him the truth. She can't keep him in the dark forever. So she waited...

...
It looked like Cat Noire chose to go home after doping his side of patrol... As Marinette got up, determined to tell her partner the truth the next time they met up a voice caught her attention.
"Well good evening, M'lady" it said.
Upon seeing the voice, she sat back down on the ledge with a smile. "Hey kitty" she said with a smile. Soon Cat Noire sat down beside her. "So my side of the patrol is very quiet, which can only mean two things for me. One, Paris being quiet means that everyone is safe and sound, which is purrfect for this cat and two, it still means Shadow Moth is out there." he said solemnly, the humour of that one cat pun gone.
he turned to her, waiting for her own report. "Same thing with my side, but I'm glad that for once, Shadow Moth won't manipulate someone's emotions. Or at least for now, until someone out there has a nightmare" she said. Cat Noire nodded solemnly.
As a nice silence came in between them, Marinette decided it was time to tell him. "Cat Noire... I have to tell you something..." she trailed off. maybe this wasn't such a good idea. But then cat Noire placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked gently. Marinette took a deep breath.
She looked at her partner. "Someone discovered my identity by seeing me transform." she said as softly as she could, but hearing a shocked gasp and a growl of protection escape him was enough for Marinette to understand that he was going to be there for her.
She knew what he was thinking. He was thinking someone was manipulating her or worse putting her in danger since they just don't like her civilian self
She looked at him before continuing as she saw his piercing green eyes darken at each word. "When I was about to transform back, I entered a building and went into the first room I saw, but I didn't see that person until the last second, and then they knew. But it's not just one person, it's six. And I know them... They're my friends, my closest friends. They swore they'd keep it a secret and they have. But what's going to happen to them... I can't lose anyone else!" at that small part, she broke down sobbing, with only Cat Noire to comfort her.
She really didn't know how much longer she could cope anymore. First, she lost an ally AKA: Chloé who she was just starting to befriend as Marinette, then she loses Master Fu, then Luka and then her best friends?! Who else would she lose because of her choices?
