A/n me updating????
⚠️also mentions of eating⚠️Evelyn walked through the halls, having been called by Charles only a few moments proir for a meeting. she followed his directions, finding herself last in the room.
"ah, Evelyn!" Charles exclaimed, rather loud for Evelyn's liking, "we can get started." she looked over te room, it seemed like hey had already been talking about something serious before she came in, but she ignored the feeling.
"here," Raven scooted over on the sofa so there was room for her, "come sit." so she did, her eyes glancing around the room at everyones faces. they looked... she couldnt tell se had never seen anyone look at her the way all of them did.
Evelyn sat down on the sofa, immediatly looking uncomfortable but once again, saying silent. she had sat on one of the sofas at the FBI facility, but they were hard and not comfortable at all. this one was very soft, almot soft enough to lull her to sleep. she hated it, she felt as if she would fall right through it.
"now, you were all brought here because the FBI facility was deemed unsafe," Charles began, "Sebastian Shaw," he turned to look at Erik and Evelyn, "or Klaus Schmidt as you may know him has been helpig the Soviet's government for some time, possibily since the war."
Evelyn was allowing her eyes to subtly scan the room, fiding them placed on Alex's clenched fists as Charles mentioned the war. maybe he had fought in it? he seemed strong, tough... it was plausible.
"Evelyn,"
that brought her attention back.
"you worked for the Russian governmet-"
she cut Charles off, "i did not work for the Government. HYDRA is its own form of government, The Red Room is a branch of HYDRA. they are not destroyed by the Soviet because they are one giant weapon for the country."
the man, along wth everyone else in the room, stared at her with confusion, "i-i don't follow."
"if the Soviet Government tries to destroy HYDRA or any of their smaller... smaller things, HYDRA is capable of desroying not only Russia, but every country under the Soviet rule."
"don't HYDRA only have facilities in Soviet countries? if they did that, they would lose all of their bases." Hank questioned.
Evelyn looked directly at him, sendig a small chill of fear down his spine, "HYDRA are everywhere. A lot of tis countries poliitions are funded and controlled by them, as well as in the United Kingdom, Australia, France, basically most countries."
"how do you know that?" Charles' voice was gentle but commanding.
she had said too much. she had realised now she had said too much. that was why she was put under contol back at The Red Room, she was a perfect fighter and a powerful mutant, but a bit of a loud mouth. "i'd like to be quiet now please."
Charles nodded, considering making her say more before realising he may scare her a bit, "right, well you worked near the governemt, do you know any of Shaws plans?"
she lowered her head, "i should be quiet now."
"Evelyn, he coud be using Nuclear weapons. if he does that the world will be in severe danger, not just a simgle country."
she looked at him, she knew what he was thinking. she had done enough damage over her lifetime, now she had a chance to do good, even if it meant going against how she had een raised, and risking her lfe, "HYDRA makes a lot of nuclear weapons... it is possible that Schmidt could have convinced them to buy materials to make them from HYDRA, or brought them ready made from HYDRA."
