Chapter 9

Delilah ~

I watched as Hunter gave a speech infront of the pack . I wonder what he is gonna say , I hope he knows what he is doing,

I heard a voice in my head ,"And yes , I do know what I'm doing ." My eyes grew wide ,"Hunter ? But how ?" He chuckled ,"I marked you , remember ." My mouth made an 'O' shape and I listened as he addressed the crowd ,"I challenged your previous Alpha because he disrespected me and my mate . I will not tolerate any form of disrespect from anyone , neither aimed at me , my mate or my family , the Roshires ."

He scanned the crowd ,"I know you have many questions , one at a time please ." A man stood up from the crowd ,"My King , isn't your mate your sister ?" He shook his head ,"No , we are only siblings on paper . We are not blood related ." The man sat back down in his seat and a woman got up ,"Forgive me for asking my king , but what happened that you-"

He stopped her mid sentence ,"I know what you are gonna ask . Many years ago when my real parents had me , rogues attacked the empire, my parents lead the empire to victory but a pack of rogues took me and thats how I ended up in the orphanage. When I was 18 I went to the empire to go to university but instead my parents found me and they have been training me and slowly they handed me the reins .I have been officially ruling for almost four years ."

Another woman got up ,"My king , what are you gonna do with our pack if you are already leading an empire ?" He smiled ,"I will fill in the necessary papers , this pack will be merged with the Bloodmoon empire. A few things will change but I'll inform you in due time ."

Another person got up ,"My king , is it true that you banished Nickolay ?" He nodded ,"Yes ,let me make an example of him and Chase to not go against or disrespect me . I am very fair when making decisions , but betrayal , disrespect and lies I do not tolerate ." After Hunter answered all their questions we got into his car and he gave me a hug ,"Thanks for being on my side .Sorry I had to banish Nick ."

I hugged him tightly ,"I understand , if you let it slip other people would want to take advantage." He nodded ,"Very true ." He kissed me on the cheek ,"Want to meet my parents ?" My eyes shot up ,"What if they won't like me ? I'm not even an Alpha ." He smiled ,"I just know they would adore you ." I bit down on my bottom lip ,"Where are we gonna stay ?" He brushed some hair out if my face ,"We'll be spending the weekend there ."

I looked down ,"What if they think I'm not good enough ?" He held my waist ,"They'll be too busy thinking about how gorgeous you are ." He pulled back and winked at me before he started the engine . I gazed out the window ,"How far is it ?" He scratched his chin ,"About 131 miles ." My jaw was hanging ,"What ?!" He smiled ,"We'll be there my tonight , you can take a nap in the meantime ."

I woke up as Hunter lightly shook me , he smiled ,"We're here ." I glanced out the window , we were in the driveway of an impressively large mansion ,

Correction , its a castle .

My jaw dropped ,"So this is where you stayed for almost four years ?" He held my hand ,"Yes ." I stared in awe at the magnificent towers and the beautiful lime stone fountain , I had no words . Before I could fully process everything a beautiful couple I assume to be his parents walked out of the large doors accompanied by a few guards .

Hunter helped me out and we walked towards his parents , I can feel a rat nibbling my insides with every step I took . His parents look so elegant and here I am wearing a t-shirt and some jeans . . .

We stopped and I gazed at Hunter who was introducing us ,"Delilah , this is my mother , Lady Cordelia Catherine Elizabeth Roshire and my father prince Edward Frederick Daniel Roshire . Mom , dad , this is Delilah Isabel Callahan , my mate ."

They looked at me blankly studying my choice of outfit and my messy hairstyle . I felt uncomfortable as their eyes raked across me , it felt like his father was staring at my soul with his piercing dark eyes . His mother folded her arms ,"Is this what has become of the youth of today ?"

His father nodded in agreement ,"Yes , interesting choice of fashion . Hunter , are you sure she is your mate ?" His mother raised an eyebrow ,"I don't approve of this ." Hunter's eyes shot up ,"What !?" She nodded ,"You heard me , its final , I don't approve ."
