Raging Hunter

Chapter 10

Hunter scratched his chin ,"And what do you mean by that ?" She looked up ,"I want you to reject her as your mate ." He snorted a laugh ,"No way ." His dad jumped in ,"Yes way ."

Hunter held my hand tightly ,"Respect her or you'll be sorry ." Her eyes grew wide ,"Don't you dare talk to us like that , we're your parents , not some barbarian like-" Hunter stopped her ,"If you finish that sentence I will make that file public ."

Wait , what just happened ,what does he mean by that ?

Both his parents fell silent and I glanced at Hunter for answers , he just gave me a look that clearly stated 'Its a long story'

He took my hand and lead me inside the castle , upstairs and next to the tower . He sighed ,"Sorry about that , but don't worry , I will never reject you as my mate . Your the only one that can control my powers ." I held his hand ,"What do you mean ?" He played with my hair ,"The Roshires has ruled the Bloodmoon empire for centuries , we are of royal blood and we are gifted with either Zelos , Azriel , Cassian , Dareen or Zetaro ."

I was confused and he knew what I was gonna ask so he grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote it down ,"Zelos ,the gift/spirit of eager rivalry ,envy , controlling, agression , lust , challenges , darkness and loyalty ." He wrote down and explained ,"Azriel ,the gift/spirit of shadows , swiftness , strategy ." He clicked the pen ,"Cassian , the gift/spirit of a warrior , strength of a lion and a dissipline ."

He took a deep breath ,"Dareen , the gift/spirit of wizdom , patience and knowledge . Zetaro , the gift/spirit of peace making , deception and seduction ."

I formed an 'O' shape with my lips and gazed at Hunter ,"Which one are you ? " He sighed heavily ,"Zelos . Thats how I was able to control Nick , I can control people like a puppet if I wanted to . But the darkness would consime me, that's why I can't be away of you for too long , you are literally my sanity ."

I bit down on my lower lip ,"That would explain your strength and agression.But what would happen if I was away from you for a while ?" He scratched his head ,"Yea , about that , I would go dark and attack my empire as if they were the enemy ." My eyes grew wide ,"What ?" He akwardly chuckled,"Yea , you remember that day when I was almost breaking down your door like some kind of freak ?" I tried to remember ,"The time you showed up drenched as it was pouring outside ?"

He scratched his head ,"Yea , that time . I killed four of our guards , three vampires and nearly started a war between the two species . My cousin that was visiting dragged me here after a long struggle to get me in the car ."

I was stunned , sitting there like a statue. He cupped my cheeks ,"Hey , don't worry about that for now . And about my parents , they are very traditional and like you would say 'killing the joy' ."

We had to join his parent for dinner , luckily I know how to deal with all the knives an forks . I put on a black dress , did some basic makeup and tamed my hair into a bun . We went downstairs and into a large dining area with a long table , Lady Cordelia and prince Edward were already seated and waiting for us , it felt like we were late and that made me feel even more nervous .

I hate the feeling of being late .

After we sat down the staff brought the food and served us . As  one of them poured my drink I lifted my hand to fix my hair and accidentally made the staff spill it onto the person next to me , Lady Cordelia .

She scrunched her face in disgust and angrily got up to go change as I kept apologizing .

I wanted to apologize to her again but I felt very uneasy as she cheerfully entered the dining hall smiling . Even Hunter was confused , prince Edward raised an eyebrow ,"Cordelia , what are you up to now ?" She inocently smiled ,"What are you talking about Edward ?" Hunter scratched his chin ,"What are you planning ?"

She gave him a look ,"Why would you think I'm up to something ? I just realised that it was just an accident afterall ." We all ate in silence until a grin apeared on Lady Cordelia's face ,"Delilah dear , do you know fencing ? If you are going to marry my son one day it is required for all future royals to know fencing ." Prince Edward looked up ,"And the Bloodmoon ball is also around the corner ."

She nodded ,"Exactly , we should prepare for it ." My eyes fell on Hunter as he nervously downed his food , I raised an eyebrow ,"Hunter , is there something wrong ?" His eyes shot up ,"No , nothing wrong . Why ?"
