10 minutes earlier...
The fight with the Neverseen was finally over. They were finally defeated. We had finally won. I couldn't believe it. I never thought this war would end.
I had planned a huge sleepover for all of us, celebrating the Neverseen's defeat. I even had Sophie to agree to a makeover-willingly this time-and I was more than excited. Especially excited to see Dex. Er... Uhhh... Nevermind. It's not like he liked me back anyway.
Wait, was I becoming just as oblivious as Sophie? Nah, no one's THAT oblivious. At least... No one should be. I mean, Sophie still hasn't figured about Keefe's obvious crush on her. Just think about that made me want to roll my eyes.
But they're SO CUTE I literally ship it beyond words. I just wish they would get together already. But that should change tonight... Hopefully.
DING DONG!
Oh, that must be Sophie now!
I scrambled downstairs and yanked the door wide open, only to find Dex standing there instead of Sophie. And he was holding, a purple flower?
"Uhhh, Dex, what are you holding?" I blushed.
"Oh, this? It's just-I saw it-on my here... And I know purple is your favorite color... So I just grabbed it-and it kind of reminded me of you-but if you don't want it..." He sighed, "Never mind," He sighed, his cheeks a bright red.
I took it from his hands before he could say anything else, "It's beautiful, thank you, Dex."
He rubbed the back of his neck, "Glad you like it. So... Is anyone else here?" He asked.
"Nope, just you. Well, besides Fitz of course, but he leaves here so, you know, kinda makes sense..." I trailed off awkwardly. Why is it so hard to talk around him?! Usually I'm pretty good at flirting with guys, but whenever Dex shows up, I turn into full blushing, stuttering, Sophie Foster mode.
"Oh, yeah," He laughed slowly. I wanted to facepalm myself. Get it together Biana!
"Anyways, the others should be here any second, so do you want to get started on baking the Mallowmelt? I was going to do it with Sophie, but you're here first. So... I figured, why not just do it with you!"
Okay... Maybe I told Dex to get here ten minutes earlier than everyone else... But he doesn't need to know that.
"Sure, sounds fun. I'm not much of a baker though."
"Oh, it's fine. Bakings not that hard once you get the hang of it," I reassured him.
"Sounds good!"
We walked over to the kitchen together and I felt my face blush a bright red every time his hand accidentally brushed mine. Finally we reached the kitchen and I began to measure out each of the ingredients.
"Thanks for helping out, Biana and Dex," My mom said, "I can take over once your other friends arrive if you'd like," She suggested.
"That would be great, Mom," I smiled.
10 minutes later...
DING DONG!
"Oops..." The loud dinging of the doorbell startled me from measuring the ingredients perfectly, and a bunch of flour dropped into the bowl.
"Uhh.." Dex and I burst out laughing.
DING DONG!
"I should probably go get that," I said, blushing. Man, I needed to get away from Dex. It's like I can't even function around him. Maybe it's best if I stay away from him the rest of the night. So I can actually do things.
I opened the door to find Sophie standing there with Keefe. They were so cute!
"Keefe begged me to bring him. Why? I've got no idea."
What do you mean why he likes you! DUH.
"Foster's just mad that I was able to convince her into bringing me," Keefe casually draped his shoulder over her.
"You wish," She pulled his arm off her shoulder and calmly walked inside. Keefe followed after her.
Poor Keefe. Sophie's never gonna pick up any signals. He knows that, right?
