This is a little thought I had but what if my JJG OC Destiny resembles Doug's empathy and compassion and how there's very little of it?
Considering the fact Destiny's the ONLY character who would help Doug escape the other JJG members, she's the only one with hope and compassion for mortals.
Given the quote he yelled at his wife, "You two are sucking the joy out of my life!" He had very little empathy and sympathy towards Tammy and his wife but it shows after seeing what Malak showed him.
After Doug's death, he starts to feel sympathy and regret for his actions after the images he was shown just like how Destiny's compassionate, empathetic and sympathetic personality comes out when she feels concern for Doug after getting beaten up by the others.
The only reason why she didn't stop the others from kicking and stomping on Doug was because she didn't want to get abused by the others and Malak. This resembles how Tammy couldn't do anything to stop her father when he was yelling at his wife.
The little star on Destiny's necklace resembles how there's still hope and light when all around is dark.
I don't really know, just a random thought I had.
