"Log 25, Case 34. It seems as though N-34 isn't going to be getting up anytime soon, so I shall not waste any more time. Me and Fan may have to start the main experiment without him. But I'm not worried, I know N-34 will live. He has to. This experiment will be a huge step from where Fan and I started off. The real experiments begin today."
Test Tube clicks the recorder off, shoving it into her pocket.
It was around 7 am, and Test Tube had woken up in Nickel's operation room. From what she remembers, she was doing tests on Nickel last night. Checking if his eye was fine, his teeth, his heart, and most importantly, his bandaged eye. Which wasn't even an eye anymore. It was just an empty socket. She slowly got up from the chair beside Nickel's bed and walked into the hall, making her way towards the subject room. Turning on the lights before entering, she gently bumped into something that was right by the door. Taco grunts angrily, scooting away from the door. When Test Tube silently apologizes for ramming into her with a metal door, she turns her direction towards the left side of the room and eyed the object who sat in the corner.
Baseball looked like he had been sleeping all day and night yesterday. He always seemed so tired, falling asleep very easily. He barely moves too, barely talks, and in most cases doesn't even eat. When he does though, it's very sloppy, and he only takes one bite. From what Fan has observed, his maximum bites are only five. How concerning, should I check up on his mental state? She first dislikes the idea. But then she realizes that this experiment won't mean anything unless she sees every little effect it has put into the subjects, and that includes mental effects. After all, she's doing everything to achieve an answer, not just for the sake of hurting people.
When 7:30 strolled around, she walked inside the room once again to find Knife and Taco both awake, looking to be chatting right before the green vile entered the room. Their faces turn dark, Taco's eyebrows furrowing and Knife's jaw clenching. Pulling out a few apples from her pockets, she tossed three towards the other two subjects. "Here's breakfast. Is B-34 awake?" They both ignore her and bite into their apples, Taco putting the other one next to Microphone's sleeping body. Test Tube continues to stand awkwardly, waiting for an answer. Eventually, she realizes they're giving her the silent treatment, and she merely shrugs and approaches Baseball herself. She takes the stethoscope tied around her neck and listens to Baseball's heart.
It was faint. A little too faint, it was rather worrying. But it was still beating, so that is all she documents on the file stuck to her clipboard. She writes down for a few seconds, and Taco takes this time to turn on the recorder inside her shell.
Ever since the day Test Tube arrived back from prison, she's tried to keep the fact she has a recorder on a low. She was scared of being caught, to which Knife told her to stop being a wuss. Ignoring him of course, she continued to never mention or show off the recorder. As time passed, she realized she wouldn't have any proof in case she dies and gets revived. And she musters up just as much courage as she needs in order to pull it out now. She hides behind Knife, taking it out, turning it on, and putting it back inside. She steps away from Knife when she's finished, and he sort of sits there confused.
"Okay, his vitals are fine. I'll come back in an hour. I will need B-34 for something very important."
This makes Knife scoff, biting into his apple a lot harsher this time. Test Tube exits the room and closes the door, locking it shut. She was about to make her way to Nickel's room before she spots Fan coming out of the door. Tempted to ask, she slowly walks up to him. He quickly shoves something into his pocket before shrieking, startled by Test Tube's sudden appearance. "Why are you so jumpy?" She asks, beads of sweat falling off Fan's face. "Nothing! I just... You spooked me." Fan grabs the needle from his pocket and places a plastic cover over it. Test Tube fixes her glasses, snatching the needle from Fan's hand. The boy stammers for a bit. "Wait! Those are painkillers!" Test Tube raises an eyebrow. "For who?"
