"Ungh, fuck."
Test Tube slammed herself down on the swivel chair in the room with a heavy, deep sigh. She stared on the bloody tiled floor with cloudy eyes. She noticed this and took off her foggy glasses, wiping it on her lab coat. As she placed them back on her face, she noticed how shaky her hands were. They were, once again, covered in blood. Not her own, either.
Which wasn't new, but it's never something she'll get used to. It sounded like a lie, but Test Tube still feels her own vomit rise up her throat when she operates on the subjects. Her breath was shaky as she sighed one more time before turning her head to the person beside her.
On the hospital bed was Knife, sound asleep. He wasn't snoring like last time he had an operation. But if there was someone who was snoring in the room, it was Fan. He had passed out on his chair a few hours ago since Test Tube took over the surgery and noticed he was getting drowsy. He almost cut himself before he fell back into his chair with a groan.
Test Tube rubbed her eyes and yawned, taking a quick look at the clock.
4:06 PM
"Jeez."
She sat up and positioned herself against a wall, feeling her eyes slowly close. Before she could fall asleep however, she grabbed the recorder from inside her pocket and whined as she tried her best to lift her arm. Clicking it, she placed it close to her mouth.
"Log.. 30, was it? Case 34... I'm so fucking tired. Even though Fan and I took turns every 5 hours or so, it was still... So tiring. The poor guy passed out not too long ago, and he's still asleep on his chair. The surgery with K-34... Was a success. I am positive he will wake in a day or two. Sedatives don't work on him that well, no matter how much you dose him. He's strong."
Test Tube yawned before continuing on. She stopped for a few moments, just breathing into the recorder as she collected her thoughts. She sniffled, and looked down at her bloody lab coat.
"You know... This surgery alone reminded me a lot of... Well, bad memories. Which is odd because I don't remember them at all. But I know I have them. Even if I can't remember them on my own, like manually, I still know these memories happened to me. And I believe... That those memories, whatever happened in them... It changed something in me. Something good, but the good got lost in translation."
Test Tube then furrowed her eyebrows, looking back down at the recorder.
"Why the hell am I talking about that now? I... Well, Fan knows about this. And I'm sure he's tired of hearing me tell the same story every single time. It's best I let it out to something that won't respond back, right? Ugh, I'm tired. I'm gonna go rest. When I wake up, I need to do something about the other three. N-34 isn't waking up any time soon and neither is K-34. Might as well use up my time dicking around."
With a click, she turned the recorder off.
--------------------------------------
Everything was dark. There was nothing in whatever place he was in. It was cold, it was drowning. There was nothing in the distance but a drowsy hum of the dark ambiance as a prickly and cold feeling hung in the air. In a few seconds, a piercing sound of TV static broke the silence. He covered his "ears" and hissed, crouching down to the floor.
