Chapter 6: The Confrontation

"Bye for now," he says, smiling and leaving with a quick wave before the door is shut and you're left on your own for the night.

After that last day of the sleepover, your ex had asked you out on a date. He then asked you out on more dates and after the fifth, he finally asked you to be his girlfriend, to which you had happily agreed.

You thought you loved him, you thought he was your everything. You swore up and down he was going to be your forever and if anybody ever tried to come in between that, you would shut them down immediately.

Your mind in the present races back to your third monthiversary when you had caught him laughing with another girl, your absolute worst enemy. You didn't mind that he had other friends, but the fact that he was hanging out with your bully!? THAT bothered you.

You had stayed and watched as she flirted with him. You couldn't tell if he was uncomfortable or liking the attention. If he was truly faithful, he'd walk away. He'd walk away and look for you but... he just kissed her. It wasn't on the lips, just a cheek kiss, but it was still a kiss.

Your heart shattered and you absolutely broke as she stared at him with wide eyes and pulled him back for a real kiss. He didn't pull away, only standing there. His eyes were wide with shock as she pulled away slightly, whispered something, and then kissed him again.

This time he kissed her back, pulling her in by the waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck. You couldn't take it anymore and you ran. You ran towards them, tears stinging your eyes and punched her before turning around and slapping him and running off.

Tears started to form again as you watched him scan the cafeteria, his eyes locking with yours when they finally did meet. "Y/N..." he starts, jumping off the table with a bouquet of flowers in hand, the same exact ones from that first day he had come over.

You shake your head, immediately turning him down. "Stop, don't take another step towards me. I'm long over you by now. Go be happy with your little girlfriend over there, the one you cheated on me with. I'm done with your antics and if you continue to pursue me, I'll file a restraining order against you. If it still continues, I'll have you locked up for harassment. I may be the quiet type, I may be an introvert, but I am NOT going to let some cheater walk all over me. Now leave me alone. Go back to where you came from. Go on, shoo!" You spit in his face, waving him off at the end. The whole cafeteria is in shock and as he looks around, he hears a couple of snickers but it's mostly quiet.

He takes the hint though and leaves, leaving the flowers on the table and his head hanging low as he walks back to his seat. Satisfied, you wait for the microwave to beep before walking back to your table, sitting beside your new friend.

His eyes are sparkling, but Alexis was the first to talk. "Go OFF girl boss!" She says, wrapping you in a hug that you happily return. You're excited that she's so happy and as she continues bragging about how 'cool' that was, you zone out, thinking about what your Dad would have done if he had known you two were ever dating at all.

Luckily you had moved in with your mom a week after you had started to date him and she was supportive of it. You moved between parents every six months. That was the agreement, and this coming Friday marked the six month period, meaning you'd be moving back into that hell hole for a whole six months... You hated it.

When Alexis finally stopped talking, Ranboo gave his input and it snapped you back to reality. "So how did this all happen anyways? Do you even know his side of the story?" Ranboo asked and you reluctantly shook your head no. You hadn't bothered after you saw what looked to be your boyfriend at the time kissing another girl. Ranboo gives a hum in thought, nodding to himself.
