Hanzo and Genji Shimada.

They were well known names among anyone who'd lived in Japan, or its neighboring countries. They were almost treated like royalty. Although, they differed in personality. The older of the two, often associated with a dark, royal colored blue, reflected the personality of a patient and obedient prince. The younger of the two, however, had a very hyper personality. Seeking thrills and enjoyment, he often got away with all his endeavors, even going as far as to blame them on his brother for the fear of getting in trouble with their father.

Their father.. That's right. Their father, Sojiro Shimada.

Their father was stern, a fearsome looking man. Tall, his hair smooth and often put up in a traditional manner. The gray locks showing his aging wisdom. He was very focused on the heir to his empire, Hanzo. Perhaps, too focused.

As Hanzo was lost in thought, His door slowly slid open. His father examining Hanzo's room before his gaze rested on his son. Hanzo had been studying for the past three, or was it four? Either way, Hanzo had been studying for hours, upon hours. Musical theory, aerodynamics, a lot of things. His brain was bustling with advanced information, half of which he'd never need to use in his day to day life. He was about to set his pencil down on the table, his lamp gracing its warm light on his hand, his father raised his hand to stop him. Hanzo's hand stayed on the pencil, the grip slightly uncomfortable as he worried what he may be confronted about. "You have a competition next week, and after that another. Prepare accordingly. Your tutors have also been made aware." Sojiro approached his son, handing him two papers. One of which, a piano competition. Something Hanzo had been learning since he could speak, as well as an archery competition. Of which, he also learned the moment he could start. After that, Sojiro began to walk away, towards the sliding door. "Good night father.." Hanzo said, quietly as Sojiro got closer to the door. His father did not respond verbally, but nodded. Sliding the door shut. Hanzo listened to his footsteps as he made his way to the other side of their home. Once he deemed it safe to breathe normally, he released a sigh he didn't know he was holding.

Looking over the papers, Hanzo decided to study up on the piano competition that was to be held next week. After he'd seen all the rules and requirements, he returned to finish his studies for the night. Deeming his work plenty, he put down his pencil. Tidying up his room and desk, he thought on what song to play for the recital, the thoughts purging his mind as he turned off his lamp, and slid into the blankets of his futon on the ground.
