The first practice with the two new recruits went really well. They started at 7:30am after their introductions, and finished at 10:00am instead of 11:00am.

Today was slightly different than usual since they only did warm ups and little matches, those mainly highlighting Hinata and Sakusa's skills for the coach to see how they were playing, individually and collectively with the team; so that he could start to determine their strengths and weaknesses. Needless to say that he was amazed by both of them.

Atsumu was excited during the whole practice because he knew it meant that he was finally able to set for Shouyou, after his promise in high school, years ago. And Atsumu is many things, but being patient isn't one of them.

He was also amazed by Sakusa of course, but not for the same reasons. Well, Sakusa was very talented and Atsumu was excited thinking about the fact that he would be able to set to him as well – he was sure they would make one hell of a duo.

But the sight that kept Atsumu still and quiet (something that is very rare of him) was another one: Sakusa, on the court, wiping the sweat off his face with his shirt, making his abs visible to whoever was in front of him at that moment – and of course the blonde was right there.

"Damn" he thought, almost drooling.

He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even realize the game had ended. He was still dreaming about Sakusa and his abs but he didn't realize that he was, in fact, staring at him. Something that made the latter quite uncomfortable.

He snaps when he hears Sakusa's voice. "Quit staring, Miya. What do you want?!"

"Huh? I wasn't staring," the blonde lies. "Don't think too much of yerself Omi-kun." he added, gaining his self-confidence back.

"What the hell is an Omi-kun?!" Sakusa frowned.

"Oh it's my nickname for ya!" Atsumu said happily. "Ya don't want me to call ya Kiyoomi and Sakusa's too formal, I don't like it. So I came up with Omi! It's short and easy so it's perfect!" he added with a large smile as if he just made the best discovery.

"My name wasn't made for you to like it, Miya." the raven said bluntly. "'Omi' is the worst nickname I have ever heard, don't call me that."

"Oh come on Omi I'm sure ya like it! I told ya we'll become friends and friendship starts with nicknames!" the blonde said, way too proudly.

"We are NOT friends and we will not be, Miya. I am here to play volleyball, not to make friends. Especially not with you." Sakusa replied with a deadpan expression.

"Ya're playing hard to get Omi-kun; I don't mind, I like that," he winked. "And I told ya to stop calling me Miya, it's Atsumu. Ya can even give me a nickname since I have one for ya." he grinned.

"No I won't, Miya. Stop with this 'Omi' shit."

"Nah but seriously, call me Atsumu at least. I have a twin brother so it's confusing when we are called 'Miya'."

"Is your brother here?" Kiyoomi asked.

"Huh? No..?" the blonde replied, quite confused with the question. Sakusa had seen all of his new teammates and it was obvious that Osamu wasn't here.

"Then it's not confusing, Miya." the raven said bluntly before heading to the bench to get his towel and water bottle, not caring about the other's response.
