Ren felt lost as classes were starting that day. The school was quite different from what he grew up in. Instead of being situated in one classroom for the day, where the teachers would come in for the lesson, the students had to move from room to room for each class. It was a bit jarring.

Lucky for the Phantom trio, they and the Heartslabyul duo were in the same class, so said duo lead them to their first class, which was alchemy. The class took place in what could only be described as a mad scientist's laboratory only for magic, and required to students to wear special lab gear.

Ren himself wore his in the default style, with the lab coat buttoned closed while having the goggles, which was rimmed with black, situated on top of his head and kept his glasses on. Incidentally, both Grim and Morgana wore miniature versions of the gear, including coats, goggles and gloves.

"Cool, and it's nice to be out in the open during class instead of being crammed into a desk the whole time." Morgana comments.

"Aw, who's going to give me answers now?" Ren says in a cheeky tone. Just then, a man comes into the room.

When Ren thought about what kind of teacher that would in charge of the class, he honestly expected an archetypal mad scientist. Instead, the man could only be described as "stylish", with duel colored black and white hair, a monochromic suit with splashes of red and a large black and white furred coat.

"Ah, you lot must be my new homeroom students." The man says in greeting, confirming he was the teacher of the class. "Hm, quite an array of unusual hair-colors here. Do make sure to take care of it properly." He says and advises.

"My name is Divus Crewel. You may call me, Master Crewel." The man, Master Crewel apparently, introduces himself. "Now, take your seats. Class is about to begin. We're going to start with the basics today. And by that, I mean beating the names distinguishing characteristics of one hundred herbs and poisons into your tiny brains." He says while bringing out a stick like device.

"The mycelia are another matter, but eventually, I'm hopeful that you'll be able to take a walk without putting anything poisonous into your gaping maws. For now, I realize you have all the self-control of voracious hounds. But I will not abide a single student failing this class. Expect to be dilled accordingly." He finishes.

"Uh... Does anyone know what a mycelia is?" Deuce asks nervously. Oh dear...

"Bleh... I've never been one for like, memorizing what things are, you know?" Ace comments, looking uninterested.

"All I care about is how to tell the yummy plants from the yucky ones." Grim says.

"You do realize those same plants can be poisonous, right?" Morgana states. Ren, meanwhile, was reading through the book the students were given.

"Alright, let's test what you've learned so far." Crewel suddenly says after some time has passed. "Mr. Amamiya," He calls on the ravenette, who looks up at the man. "What flower means beauty, but is extremely poisonous?" He asks. Ren thought about it for a moment, before something he read comes to mind.

"Um... Hydrangea?" He suggests. The black and white haired man then beams.

"Correct! Hydrangea have to be some of the loveliest flowers you'll ever see. They come in a variety of eye-catching colors and typically mean beauty, but also grace and gratitude. However, they are also some of the most poisonous, especially for dogs, cats and horses." The teacher confirms and explains.

"Goes to show you, even the most beautiful, can be the most deadly. Just like they say: "Ever roses has its thorns"..." He adds and Ren was reminded of his friend Ann. He then notices no one was talking about how he answered the question correctly.
