When the light died down, the group was back in the Mirror Chamber, when Headmaster Crowley walked in. Ace and Deuce then proceed to tell him that they returned from Dwarfs' Mine with a magic crystal as he instructed.
"Eh!? You really went to Dwarfs' Mine to find a magic crystal?" The headmaster exclaims, shocked. Wait, what? "I really didn't think... You'd not only got, but then come back with a crystal in hand. And here I completed the paperwork for your expulsion." He admits.
"Nnga! The nerve of this guy! While we were off fighting some crazy beast!" Grim exclaims, both angry and frustrated.
"Yeah, is that why you thought we wouldn't go?! You didn't even tell us about it! How about a little warning next time!" Morgana agrees with his fellow not-cat.
"What? Beast? What beast?" Crowley asks, confused. Wait, he didn't know?
"There was this weird, creature living in the mines. It looks like it was guarding the magic crystal we found." Ren explains.
"Yeah, if it weren't for Joker over here! We'd be dead meat right now! Or at least, empty-handed." Ace adds.
"Uh... I'm just Ren now, Ace." Said boy tells the red-head.
"Huh?" the heart boy says, confused.
"Could you explain to me in more detail? Not here, but somewhere else?" The dean then asks the group.
~Take Your Time~
The group were now in Crowley's headmaster office, where they explained the whole excursion to the man. How they fought a monster in the mines, with Deuce awakening his own persona, Dante, and how they worked together to defeat it.
"A mysterious monster living in the coal mine and the five of you worked together to defeat it and bring back the magic crystal?" Crowley summarizes.
"Well, we didn't exactly work together..." Ace denies.
"It was more like, our goals were aligned..." Deuce says.
"Still, Ren here led us all to victory!" Grim then cheers.
"Ooh... Oooooh... OOOOHHHH! OHHHH!" The man suddenly exclaims, crying.
"What the-?! What's with this guy?! He suddenly burst into tears!" Grim exclaims.
"Yeesh, what a drama queen." Morgana says next.
"Are you okay, Headmaster?" Ren asks, a little worried.
"Oh, I am overwhelmed with emotion! In all the years that I've been headmaster, for the day to come that students of Night Raven College go hand-in-hand to face and defeat their enemy!" The man exclaims. Huh?
"What?! I did not hold this guy's hand!" Deuce exclaims.
"I would never do that, gross! But headmaster, how old are you?" Ace denies then asks, but the man didn't seem to be listening.
"Oh come on, Ace! Weren't you holding onto Deuce pretty tight while we were riding Dante?" Morgana asks in a teasing tone and Ren quietly laughs to himself.
"Shut up, you mangy cat!" Ace retaliates while blushing.
"I am not a cat! You red-head moron! And I thought Ryuji had a big mouth!" The said "not-cat" rebuffs.
"Why you...!" The red-haired boy start.
"Alright, knock it off you two. Or do I have to use Arsene on you?" Ren quickly intervenes then says and both freeze, then back down.
"There! Right there!" The headmaster suddenly exclaims while pointing at Ren. "This officially confirms it! You Mr. Amamiya, without a doubt, have talent as a beast tamer!" He says. Come again?
