We stopped at what I could nearly see through the tinted windows of a very fancy restaurant. Multiple of paparazzi were crowded outside.
"Give us a minute boss." the driver said and the bodyguards made an entranceway through the paparazzi.
They opened the door for us and I grabbed his hand as we walked out with our heads high.
"DIDN'T T SHE GO MISSING!" one yelled.
"MS!" Another yelled.
"TELL US VALENTINO DID YOU KIDNAP HER?" one yelled.
"Keep walking." Valentine rushed and that's all I heard from all the yelling and talking. "One of New York most finest restaurants also happens to be my families." He said.
"Welcome boss." A waiter said and greeted each of us. "Follow me." He grabbed some tablets that WERE the menus. $600 tablets!
We walked through the restraint that was completely empty into the upstairs which was one huge table. "Valentino!" I heard a man come up and hugged him.
"This my father." He introduced me.
"Hello, Mr. Santo." I shook his hand.
He looked me up and down and walked away. Well rude... "this is my mother." He said.
"Oh my god! How gorgeous!" She hugged me. "Look at this diamond you found." She smiled.
"Thank you so much, Ms. Santo." I smiled.
"Sit, sit." She said as she greeted everyone. Valentino grabbed my hand and sat down next to me.
"You can do it." He whispered. "Can you bring us some champagne?" He told the waiter.
"So son after your big disappearance... What actually happened?" His dad asked.
"I was kidnapped by the French." He said half truth.
He looked at me and back at Valentino. "So who's the lady? Never seen her before." He said.
"Yes, father because she's a news reporter."
Valentino's father laughed loudly and stopped when he noticed everyone else was serious. "Non prendere in giro me padre. Non ha il cognome più elegante, ma è speciale (Don't make a fool of me father. She doesn't have the fanciest richest last name but she's special)" He said in Italian which I semi got.
"È ridicolo che tutto il duro lavoro andrà a quello se dovesse succederti qualcosa! (That's ridiculous all the hard work will go to that if something is to happen to you!)" His father responded and I started getting lost since I didn't understand well.
"Non sono ancora sposato! se è la persona che sposerò, ovviamente metà andrà da lei e dal mio bambino! ('m not married yet! if she's the person I marry then of course half will go to her and my baby!)" I don't know again what they said but Valentino's father looked at me in shock well everyone who wasn't Kalob, Luna, and Sarah did.
"Hai rovinato questa famiglia (You're ruining this family)" He broke a glass with his bare hands.
"Siediti (sit down)" Valentino's mom said in a calm voice and he sat down. "We got the news." She told me.
I looked at Valentino in confusion about what they were talking about. "I thought you understood Italian." He whispered.
"I do but you guys were talking too fast." I laughed silently.
"I told them you were pregnant." that explains the loud gestures.
"Thank you so much it's going to be a blessing to have her/him." I smiled.
"Hopefully a man so he can take this business." His father said.
"No my kid will not be a part-."
"Of course father." Valentine interrupted me and I looked at him in shock.
"But we talked-," I whispered but he inturped me again.
"Now let's give a toast to a new heir and life soon to be born." He said as the waiters served champagne.
"Can I be excused?" I said loudly.
"No!" Valentine grabbed my hand and sat me back down. "Were toasting." He said.
"But I feel a bit uncomfy with the fact that-." He ignored what I was trying to say and stood up.
"To a soon-to-be-born blessing!" He said and toasted.
They all toasted and I stood up. "To a new future." I sat back down and looked at Valentino in anger.
