My sword stops releasing the glowing stars and makes a jarring noise as the other blade pushes mine back. I land on the ground and jump back to see a boy with short black hair with burgundy tips, dark red eyes, and fairly tanned skin with a scar on the left side of his exposed forehead. He is wearing the Demon Slayer uniform; the only difference is that he is wearing saggy pants tucked into bands of white cloth wrapped around his calves. He has a checkered green and black haori over the uniform.

I gasp and stare at him with bafflement as I try to process what is going on and why he is protecting the demon beside him. He has a look that shows protectiveness, meaning he wants to risk his life keeping it safe. Does he know about this demon? Is it special to him? Why would he become a Demon Slayer just to keep that demon safe? What makes him think he had the nerve to stop me from decapitating it?

"Get away from my sister. Now," He demands in a strict tone, holding his sword in front of the demon.

I stand still in my position, not believing what he just said. That demon is actually his sister? Ms. Takemoto's words play in my head, and I realize what happened to her.

Muzan must have given some of his blood to her when she was still a human.

I hear the two-horned demon growl behind me, and I turn around to look at it warily. It struggles to get back up without its arms, growling helplessly. I walk up to it and point the tip of my sword at its face.

"How many humans have you killed and eaten?" I ask quite harshly.

"Give me a break! If women live any longer, they turn ugly and start tasting terrible! I killed them for their own good!" It yells in response, and I gasp.

I hear the boy walk up to me and point the tip of his sword at its face, and I lower mine. "You know, you should be thanking us demons—" Before it can speak more, the boy slashes its jaw, causing it to gag and cough out blood. He points the tip closer to its face, and it backs up until it hits the wall behind it.

"Never mind that. What do you know about Muzan Kibutsuji? Tell me!" He demands, and the demon gasps. He and I stare at it with shock, and I can tell it's terrified of something. It whimpers in fear, not bothering to tell us anything.

"Talk to me," He strictly commands, but it doesn't listen. "Start talking!"

"I–I can't tell you!" It cries, and I widen my eyes in disbelief. "I can't tell you."

It begins to cry, repeating the same thing over and over again. I can totally see the fear on its face. Is it afraid of Muzan Kibutsuji?

"I can't! I can't! I can't! I can't! I can't!" It squirms as it's thinking of something I don't know.

All I can see is fear. What is it terrified of?

"I can't tell you, alright?!" It regenerates its arms and yells as it attempts to attack the boy. I jump back before he swings his sword and cuts off its head. It disintegrates into ash along with its body.

"I failed to get any information. Again," I hear the boy mutter, making me wonder about one thing.

What does he want to know?

He sheathes his sword and looks at the demon girl sitting against the wall, the wound still visible on her temple. "Nezuko!" He cries as he runs to her and checks on her. I stare at them with pensive eyes.

"She's asleep. And the bleeding stopped. So that does help her recover," He says to himself.

She didn't eat a single human. She must be different from other demons. This boy...He's risking it all to protect her!
