Keefe held his breath as he craned his neck so the tatto lady can get a better look at his collarbone. It's fine Keefe, just think about something other then the pointy tool that that squirts ink onto your skin.
Yes, Keefe was getting a tattoo. Foster took him to the Forbidden Cities to look for his mother who supposedly broke of out of Exile without anyone knowing. And she managed to get to the Forbidden Cities before anyone noticed she was was gone from the most secure place in the Lost Cities.
Now Keefe and Sophie were trying to look for his bloodthirsty mother, but to no ones surprise, they couldn't find her. Now—as Ro said— The Lovebirds are back in the human cities, looking for her again.
But, Keefe being Keefe, saw the tattoo parlor, and decided to get one. He made up a story how he got permission from his dad to get a tattoo of his choosing when he found out you needed to be a specific age in human years to get one.
What he didn't know was getting a simple drawing on your skin was going to be painful.
"Hold still, would you." The tattoo lady, she went by the name of Tori, said. "Your gonna mess up me up. Plus, you chose right above your collarbone for the tattoo, so of course it's gonna hurt."
Keefe tried to sit still for his and Tori's sake, but to say it was hard was an understatement. But he managed.
"So, why are you getting a nickname drawn on your skin, because I don't think nicknames are that memorable."

Tori looked up from her work and narrowed her eyes, "let me guess, you have a crush on a girl." Tori smiled when he blushed. "I don't know a lot about love, and I don't want to be nosy, but can I ask you who's the lucky girl to have stolen your heart."
