She awoke slowly in her bed, mind rebelling against the idea of waking up. Loke had treated her very...'lovingly' last night, she felt warm and loved and she didn't want to get out. She reached out for him and was surprised to find only an empty mattress. She pouted, upset he'd apparently just left her instead of cuddling or at least saying goodbye. When he next showed up she was going to give him a piece of her mind. She huffed, mood souring and she was debating just going back to bed.

She heard a shuffling outside her room and realised something was moving outside her closed door. Was it him? Oh she was going to get him good. She buried herself into the covers, ready to scare him as revenge. He slowly opened her door and her nose was assaulted by delicious smells. Her stomach rumbled as she recognised it as food. She heard him humming lightly to himself.

"Oh she's going to love this!"

He sounded so excited, she calmed down, anger replaced with affection. He wanted to surprise her with breakfast, she could forgive him for that. She relaxed, keeping her eyes closed. She'd go along with the surprise, for him. She listened carefully, excitement rising with his own, as he did his best to quietly walk over to her. He stood beside the bed and cleared his throat before softly speaking up.

"Lucy, Lucy love. Please wake up princess, it's time to get up and face the day."

She made a big show of just waking up. She fully yawned and stretched, pulling herself in what she believed to be an extremely convincing act. She blinked up at him, eyeing the tray in his hands. He beamed at her, elated at seeing her. Her own heart swelled in response, he was too cute.

"Good morning Loke"

"Mornin Lucy. One order of breakfast in bed for the lovely lady"

He placed the tray on her lap as she sat up, stomach continuing to rumble in anticipation. Her blanket fell to only cover her legs. Long ago she would have stammered and flailed, but with years of love came confidence in herself and a cozyness in being so vulnerable with each other. He himself had only bothered to put on his boxers. She looked down to take in the greasy breakfast. Toast, eggs and sausages on one plate, another plate had pancakes with syrup poured over them. There was a tall glass of orange juice to finish the deal. She snorted, pulling her hair back, blindly reaching for a tie that he passed to her. She tied her hair loosely to keep it away from the food, before picking up the knife and fork.

"A bit fatty eh Loke? Trying to tell me something?"

He snorted, shaking his head. He reached out to gently cup her cheek. She relaxed into his touch, completely ready to spend today indulging in this closeness. His thumb slowly rubbed her skin, soothing her and convincing her eyes to close.

"No, just a pick me up. You've been working yourself ragged lately. I'm surprised you're not just an exhausted pile of skin and bones. It's to give you energy, the pancakes are a treat because you deserve them."

She hummed in response, about to fall asleep on his hand. He rudely pulled it away, leaving her to blink awake and glare at him. She angrily cut up some egg and toast and shoved it into her mouth, doing her best to ignore him.

"How's it taste?"

She huffed, finishing her mouthful as defiantly as possible. It was delicious, but he didn't need to know that.

"I'll eat it"

"I'm glad you love it princess, I worked hard on it"

She whined around her fork, guiltily forcing down more of his meal. She sighed deeply.

"Damn you Loke. You're a great cook and you know it"

"Yeah, but hearing it from you hits different. It makes me feel all fuzzy, I'd cook for you every day if you let me"
