Her eyes looked around, taking in the various colors of LED lights that were flashing around. At first they seemed cool, but after a while, they actually managed to hurt her eyes.

The girl sighed when the music changed from a rather good pop song to a slow song that couples around her started to dance to.

With a red, plastic cup with water in it in hand, she stood up from the chair she had been sitting on and made her way over to the double doors of the big gym of her high school.

She was done with sitting all alone while watching others enjoy themselves.

She was done with having to choose water instead of the strawberry punch because it tasted like cardboard.

She was so ready to get herself some McDonald's.

Before she could step out of the room, a hand that was suddenly placed on her biceps stopped her from walking any further. When she turned around to look at whose hand it was, she rolled her eyes and shook the hand off.

"What do you want?" she asked in an annoyed tone. She instinctively took a step back to create some space between them.

"Why are you leaving so early?"

She hissed under her breath. "That's none of your business, Theodore."

"Theodore?" the guy asked. "What happened to Theo?"

"You know I won't call you that."

"But Nya," Theodore mused, stepping closer to her. "It's prom! Why don't we get a drink?" he pointed to the food and drinks table.

Nya glared at him. She knew there was something fishy going on, she had seen one of his friends put something into the red punch.

"No, thank you," she answered, ready to turn back around. But, of course, she was stopped by his hand once again. "Quit touching me!" she exclaimed, slapping his hand off of her body again.

Theodore chuckled darkly, apparently finding her being uncomfortable funny. "Just one drink?" he offered, pouting.

Nya sighed, shaking her head. She knew what he was trying to do, and he thought she was really going to give in because of that cursed lip-curl thing?

"No, I don't want to drink anything from or with you. Want me to write it down for you?" she asked him sassily.

Even though the music was quite loud, Nya could still hear his grumble. He moved closer to her which made her immediately step back.

But, as clichè as this entire situation already was, it could always get worse.

Because her back soon hit the closed doors and he was close to towering over her. And, of course, they were in such a position where to everyone else around them, it looked like they were both consenting to that.

Which was definitely not the case.

"You know, have I told you how great you look in that dress?" Theodore asked, looking her up and down hungrily.

Nya didn't respond, she just put her hands on his chest and tried to push him away. It worked for a little bit before he quickly came back to her.

While the boy she hated was still looking at her like that, Nya gave up on the last bit of politeness she had inside of her and looked to her left, seeing the door handle that was in proximity, much to her happiness.

She made sure he was still looking at her body so that he was distracted enough to overlook her hand that was slowly reaching for the handle.

Once her fingers brushed against the cold metal, she made a mental note to quickly step to the side when she opened the door to avoid getting crushed by his weight.
