"I'm sorry Miss Cabello, but I'm afraid it'd be nearly impossible to assign you to a different dorm." The lady at the front desk told Camila politely. "This year seems to be completely packed, every room is already taken."

Camila sighed frustratedly and thanked the lady before leaving the front office. After last night, she decided to see if she could be reassigned to another room, but obviously that plan didn't work out. Does the world hate me or something? After waking up and making herself look presentable, Camila went straight to the main building.

Since she still had a little time left before her first class started, Camila walked over to a tiny cafe on campus.
She walked inside and surveyed her surroundings.

The place had a vintage music theme to it. Records and posters of bands such as The Rolling Stones, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, and Nirvana covered the walls. Camila already knew she'd end up coming here again, the decorations were appealing to her.

"Camila!"

She turned her head in the direction of the voice. Ally appeared from behind the front counter. Her uniform made it pretty obvious that she worked there.

"Ally? I didn't know you work here. It's nice to see you."

Ally pulled the taller girl into a quick hug.

"Nice to see you as well. What'd you like? An espresso? Cappuccino?" She asked.

"Um I guess I'll have a mocha latte?" Camila said, looking at the large menu board behind the counter. Ally nodded and smiled.

"Comin' right up!"

Camila sat at an empty table and took out her phone as she waited. The girl scrolled through Tumblr aimlessly, until a familiar voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Give me a coffee, black."

Camila snapped her head in the direction of the voice. Lauren was leaning against the counter, looking at Camila with a smirk. The younger girl groaned and turned back in her seat. Why did she have to come here?

"Hey princess." Lauren appeared in front of her. "What? I don't get a friendly greeting? I'm hurt." She pulled out a chair and sat across from Camila.

"What do you want?" She sighed.

"Am I supposed to want something each time I talk to you?" Lauren raised an eyebrow.

"If you don't want something, then why are you talking to me?" Camila looked at the girl in front of her warily. Lauren fidgeted with the one of the zippers on her leather jacket. For a second, Camila thought it was kind of cute.

"Am I not allowed to or something? I just thought I'd be a nice roommate or somethin'. But forget it." Lauren shook her head and left the table as her name was called.

Camila watched the raven haired girl grab her cup of coffee and leave. She sighed and covered her face with her hands.

"You okay?"

Camila removed her hands to find Ally standing in front of her table. The shorter girl smiled and handed Camila her beverage.

"Thanks. And yeah, I'm fine." Camila took the drink into her hands.

"Why were you talking to Lauren Jauregui?" Ally asked, both out of worry and curiosity.

"Oh, she's my roommate." The younger girl shrugged it off and took a small sip from her cup. Ally frowned at the news.

"Yikes, that sucks."

"You know her?" Camila asked.

"A little, but not much. I've shared classes with her, but she's always either quiet or sleeping. And there's the occasional rumor."
